Cardinals Pound Rams, 31-14
Larry Fitzgerald had a big day receiving, leading the way to a solid victory for the Cardinals over the Rams, 31-14, at home.
Carson Palmer went 25 for 36 for the game with 241 yards passing, no touchdowns and one pick. On the Rams side, Austin Davis went 17 for 30 with 216 yards passing, one touchdown, two picks and one fumble.
Andre Ellington carried the ball 18 times for 23 yards with a touchdown in addition to five receptions for 19 yards. Fitzgerald was a top receiver, catching nine passes for 112 yards.
The Arizona defense was the difference in the victory, bringing back one interception and one fumble for touchdowns while forcing an additional two interceptions. They harassed Davis and the Rams offensive line with an imposing six sacks.
Rams tight end Jared Cook gave a standout effort with 84 receiving yards and one touchdown. Running back Tre Mason also gave a strong effort with 48 rushing yards and 33 receiving.
The Cardinals are at home to take on the Lions (7-2) next week while the Rams will meet the Broncos (7-2), also at home.
