Hawks to talk to Johnson again

Avery Johnson is scheduled to meet with Atlanta Hawks officials about their coaching vacancy a second time and could be emerging as the front-runner for the job, league sources said.

Johnson first interviewed for the Hawks' job on Monday and has another meeting now scheduled for Saturday in Atlanta. Johnson, who previously coached the Dallas Mavericks, interviewed for the Philadelphia 76ers' job, which went to Doug Collins, and the New Orleans Hornets' vacancy. The New Jersey Nets also have contacted him about their opening.

Mavericks assistant Dwane Casey, Portland Trail Blazers assistant Dean Demopoulos and Hawks assistant Larry Drew also are among the candidates for Atlanta's job.
