The Los Angeles Lakers’ search for perimeter shooting has led them to bring free agent Jason Kapono(notes) to their practice facility for a visit on Monday, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The Lakers have shown significant interest in signing Kapono, a 30-year-old UCLA graduate, to a veteran’s minimum contract.

Kapono was lost on the Philadelphia 76ers’ bench last season, appearing in just 24 games. Nevertheless, he’s a 43.7 percent 3-point shooter in his eight-season career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Charlotte Bobcats, Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors and 76ers.
