North Carolina prep basketball tandem pulls off fantastic game-winning alley-oop

Charlotte's Hickory Grove Christian High got caught watching the paint dry.

After setting a screen around the top of the key with 2.1 seconds left, Huntersville (N.C.) Southlake Christian Academy senior Andrew Howard rolled to the basket and threw down an alley-oop off a perfect inbounds pass from classmate Miles Boone that delivered the Eagles a 61-59 victory against their conference rivals on Senior Night (h/t Bob's Blitz).

Southlake Christian Academy is coached by former 1991 ACC Player of the Year Rodney Monroe, who knows a thing or two about game-winning dunks, having arrived on N.C. State's campus four years after Lorenzo Charles' 1983 NCAA title-clinching dunk against Houston. This alley-oop, however, was scripted. Quite wonderfully, we might add.

The YouTube video captures the throw-down from three angles. The second one, from Monroe's perspective on the sideline, is pretty great, but the third angle takes the cake, if only for the cameraman's "Oh, my God" reaction.

Speaking of reactions, Howard's post-oop mean mug puts Justin Bieber to shame. And you've gotta love the camouflage hat-wearing dude who sneaks in a man hug and a fantastic "What just happened?" amid the postgame celebration around the 1:20 mark.
