FSU QB Everett Golson lays out Boston College defender on block (Video)
Florida State quarterback Everett Golson completed 5-of-5 passes for 50 yards and a touchdown on the Seminoles’ opening drive Friday night at Boston College.
He also did this:
The Seminoles dialed up a reverse to speedy wideout Kermit Whitfield and the the 6-foot, 199-pound Golson did his part to help Whitfield pick up a 15-yard gain, leveling Boston College’s Kevin Kavalec, a 6-foot-2, 253-pound defensive end.
Five plays after Golson’s big hit, the senior Notre Dame transfer hit Travis Rudolph on a nine-yard touchdown pass to take a 7-0 lead over the Eagles.
As for Kavalec? He missed the rest of the game with a head injury.

The Seminoles couldn't get much going offensively after that initial touchdown drive, but added a defensive touchdown in the second half. On the other side, Boston College's offense struggled mightily and Florida State went on to win, 14-0.
