Nick Saban smiles for selfie with top recruit, box of Oatmeal Creme Pies
Unexpectedly granted a week off after a loss to Auburn cost his team a shot at the SEC championship, Alabama coach Nick Saban spent his newfound free time visiting five-star offensive recruit Cameron Robinson.
Robinson, the nation's top-ranked offensive lineman on the Rivals 100, captured Saban in rare form for an Instagram selfie (h/t Atlanta Journal-Constitution). The Roll Tide ruler wasn't just smiling; he was holding a box of Oatmeal Creme Pies.
The West Monroe High (West Monroe, La.) senior offensive tackle, who committed to Alabama this past September, knows just how to cheer up his future coach. Every morning, Saban eats an OCP (that's what everyone calls them, right?) with a cup of coffee while watching the Weather Channel with wife Terry, according to The Birmingham News.
You know, the breakfast of champions … errr … BCS bowl-eligible programs?
Meanwhile, if there isn't already a Nutty Bars clause, somewhere an NCAA employee is surely typing up an addendum outlawing recruits from providing Little Debbie snacks to prospective future coaches.
