Xavier among finalists for Zyon Pullin, UC Riverside transfer guard, per report
Zyon Pullin, a UC Riverside transfer, narrowed his list to Xavier, Florida, Gonzaga, LSU and Michigan, according to a report Wednesday from Joe Tipton for on3.com.
Tipton cited Pullin's agent, Scott Nichols of Rize Management.
Pullin, a 6-foot-4 guard who entered the transfer portal earlier this month as a graduate student, has played the past four seasons for the Highlanders.
As a senior, he averaged 18.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 33.9 minutes per game in 29 games and was named first-team All-Big West. He shot 48.6 percent from the field and 39.4 percent from 3-point range.
Pullin entered his name into the NBA draft last month after helping UC Riverside to its best season as a Div. I program. The Highlanders finished 22-12 overall, 14-6 in the Big West.
Since the end of last season, Xavier has added four players via the transfer portal: North Texas' Abou Ousmane, Rice's Quincy Olivari, Western Kentucky's Dayvion McKnight and Indiana's Logan Duncomb, a former Moeller High School standout.
Four Class of 2023 players - guard Trey Green, forwards Dailyn Swain and Reid Ducharme and center Kachi Nzeh - have signed letters of intent to play for the Muskies.
Centerville High School guard Jonathan Powell became XU's first Class of 2024 commitment on Wednesday.
