Cianciulli entered her senior season third all-time on the digs list. Earlier in the season, she surpassed Daniela Reis, who played from 1989-92, and then past Haley Smith, who totaled 1,593 digs from 2012-15. Cianciulli has been honored four times by the SEC in her four-year career at LSU.
Although the team struggled from three-point range, the Bulldogs were able to shoot 46.9% from the field. The Bulldogs used a strong first half to dominate the Tigers offensively, going on a 12-0 run near the end of the first half to take a 45-29 lead as the halftime buzzer sounded. A high-scoring second half from both teams allowed the Bulldogs to keep control of their lead and pull away from the Tigers by 14 points.
Freshman Cam Thomas once again led the Tigers in scoring with 21 points on 7-of-19 (37%) and just 2-of-7 (28.5%) on 3-pointers. He also had five rebounds and a steal. Javonte Smart added 19 points, three assists, and a steal.
