WNC high school Week 7 spring sports top performers: Roberson's Reno Jeter throws no-hitter
Here are the Western North Carolina athletes who had top performances this week in spring sports.

Saturday
Girls soccer
Claire Rhoden, Reynolds: Rhoden made six saves, keeping a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Fort Dorchester (S.C.).
Baseball
Caden Davidson, Roberson: Davidson, homered, doubled and earned a walk, the latter which drove home the walk-off run over Combine Academy National in a 5-4 win.
Micah Simpson, Roberson: Simpson allowed two hits and struck out four over 5.2 innings, earning the win over the Goats.
Reno Jeter, Roberson: Jeter homered and drove in two in the victory.
Mason Harrell, Tuscola: The sophomore drove in three runs in the first game of a doubleheader against Science Hill (Tenn.), but the Mountaineers fell 7-6.
Hayden Craig, Reynolds: Craig tripled in the sixth inning to drive in the go-ahead runs in a 5-4 win over West Henderson. He finished the game 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Jackson Stepp, West Henderson: The freshman drove in two runs and went 2-for-2 at the plate in a 5-4 loss to Reynolds.
Softball
Sarah Forbes, Mountain Heritage: Forbes' 3-for-4 day paced the Cougars in a 15-0 win over Avery County. She hit a home run and drove in three runs.
Madi Dillinger, Mountain Heritage: Dillinger hit three doubles and drove in a run in the victory.
Friday
Girls soccer
Amber Hernandez, Madison: Hernandez tallied two more goals, lifting the Patriots to a 3-0 win over Smoky Mountain and giving her 15 goals on the season.
Claire Rhoden, Reynolds: Rhoden saved eight shots and allowed only one goal, helping Reynolds beat Academic Magnet (S.C.) 2-1.
Baseball
Isaiah Mingus, Asheville High: Mingus struck out four, allowed four hits and gave up one run to earn the win over six innings pitched. The Cougars beat North Buncombe 10-1.
Manning Stewart, Carolina Day: Stewart drove in three runs and went 2-for-3 at the plate, but the Wildcats lost 10-4 to Hickory Christian Academy.
Zion Devore, Enka: Devore singled in the bottom of the seventh to drive in the winning run over McDowell in a 2-1 victory.
Cole Miller, Erwin: Miller drove in the winning run to walk off Roberson, 5-4. The Warriors' shortstop finished the day 2-for-3 with two runs driven in.
Reed Raby, Franklin: Raby drove in four runs, leading the Panthers to a 13-2 victory over Smoky Mountain.
Abram Apel, Franklin: Apel went 2-for-2 with two singles and three runs driven in.
Peyton Maybin, North Henderson: Maybin struck out 13 batters over 6.1 innings pitched, giving up five hits and only three unearned runs. The Knights beat East Henderson, 7-3.
Matt Dodson, Rosman: Dodson hit a home run and drove in three runs to help the Tigers to their first win of the season in a 10-3 victory over Owen.
Jed West, Tuscola: West drove in two runs and went 2-for-3 in a 7-3 win over Christiansburg (Va.).
Jackson Lyda, West Henderson: Lyda drove in three runs and walked two more times, leading West Henderson's effort in a 16-1 win over Reynolds.
Truitt Manuel, West Henderson: Manuel struck out eight over four innings pitched, allowing just three hits and one run.
Softball
Lauren Staton, East Henderson: Staton went 2-for-3 with three RBIs in a 14-4 loss to North Henderson.
Kendall Rumans, Franklin: Rumans hit a home run and drove in three in a 2-for-4 day at the plate, but the Panthers fell for the first time all season to West Henderson, 12-7.
Karlie Kemper, McDowell: The senior hit two home runs to lift McDowell past Reynolds, 9-0. She went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored.
Kinsley McKinney, McDowell: McKinney struck out six and allowed two hits in a seven-inning shutout of the Rams.
Easton Whitson, Owen: Whitson homered and drove in four runs, leading the Warhorses to a 17-6 win over Rosman.
Hannah Norton, Owen: The freshman added a homer and three RBIs in Owen's victory.
Khaley McHone, North Henderson: McHone had a big day at the plate – she homered, doubled and drove in five runs in a 3-for-4 day. North Henderson beat East Henderson 15-4.
Marley Orr, West Henderson: Orr hit a home run and drove in three runs, helping lift the Falcons to a 12-7 win over Franklin.
Thursday
Girls soccer
Peyton Case, Asheville High: Case tallied a hat trick, leading the way in Asheville's 9-0 drubbing of North Buncombe.
Ani Johnson, Asheville High: Johnson added two goals in the win.
Charley Goodwin, Brevard: Goodwin scored two goals, helping lift the Blue Devils to a 4-1 win over Polk County.
Maggie Bish, Hendersonville: The senior recorded two goals and four assists in Hendersonville's 9-0 blowout of Patton.
Marianne Maxon, West Henderson: Maxon's two goals and two assists led the Falcons to a 5-0 win over Enka.
Rhylie Druskis, West Henderson: Druskis added a brace of her own and assisted on another goal.
Wednesday
Girls soccer
Princess Adeyi, Asheville School: Adeyi tallied two goals to lift the Blues to a win over Asheville Christian Academy.
Baseball
Seth Coxie, Asheville Christian Academy: Coxie allowed just one hit while spinning five scoreless innings on the mound. He struck out 10 batters in a 12-0 win over Christ School.
Will Bolyard, Hendersonville: Bolyard batted 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs in a 9-6 victory over Chase.
Jude Lyda, West Henderson: Lyda went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two doubles, helping the Falcons take a 10-0 victory over Brevard.
Jackson Lynn, West Henderson: Lynn drove in three runs while going 2-for-2 at the plate.
Softball
Amy Rhymer, North Henderson: Rhymer went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and four runs scored. She tripled twice in the 19-1 win over Asheville High.
Naomi Taylor, Robbinsville: Taylor was perfect at the plate for the Black Knights, going 3-for-3 with three home runs and five runs driven in. Robbinsville beat Reynolds, 7-1.
Memory Frapp, Robbinsville: Frapp struck out eight over seven innings pitched, allowing two hits and one run in the win.

Peyton Case, Asheville High: Case tallied a brace and two more assists, leading the Cougars in a 9-0 rout of McDowell.
Carolina Taylor, Polk County: The senior led the Wolverines to a victory with two goals in a 4-1 win over East Rutherford.
Kate Pratt, Roberson: Pratt scored a double hat trick – six goals – to lift the Rams to a big win over Erwin, 9-0.
Shayne Pratt, Roberson: Pratt tallied two goals and two assists to top off the win over the Warriors.
Baseball
Reno Jeter, Roberson: Jeter threw a no-hitter in a 2-0 victory over Erwin. He struck out 10 batters while only walking two batters.

Isabella Gualano, Asheville Christian Academy: The senior recorded four goals and an assist, lifting the Lions to a 9-0 victory over Salem Academy.
Lizzie Kahle, Asheville Christian Academy: The eighth grader scored a hat trick in the victory.
Lynlee Johnson, Mountain Heritage: Johnson tallied the winning goal over Erwin in the Cougars' 1-0 victory.
Marianna Maxon, West Henderson: Maxon scored two goals in the Falcons' 7-0 win over Franklin. She added an assist.
Rhylie Druskis, West Henderson: Druskis matched her teammate with a brace and assist.
Ava Payne, West Henderson: The freshman was the third two-goal scorer in the Falcons' win.
Baseball
Martiste Mills, Caroline Day: Mills went 4-for-6 with an RBI and two runs in a 7-2 win over Asheville Trailblazers.
Jackson Warnock, Owen: Warnock had a near perfect day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three runs driven in, three runs scored, two hit by pitches and a double. Owen beat Rosman 15-2.
Softball
Averi Coggins, Enka: Coggins homered and drove in three runs as the Jets beat Asheville High, 15-0.
Kerigan Phillips, Enka: Phillips drove in three runs on 2-for-2 batting at the dish.
Jaycee Woody, Erwin: Woody hit two home runs and drove in four runs in Erwin's 13-2 win over Mitchell.
Tinley Clark, Owen: Clark drove in three runs while going 2-for-3 at the plate.
Zoie Shuler, Robbinsville: Shuler went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs. She scored four runs in a 15-8 win over Copper Basin (Tenn.).
Ella Atwell, Robbinsville: The freshman drove in four runs in a 5-for-5 day at the plate. She hit three doubles.
Sophie Roberts, Robbinsville: Roberts homered and drove in three runs, helping cap off the Black Knights' big day at the plate.
Addie Mull, Smoky Mountain: Mull shut down Tuscola in a 5-0 victory, throwing a complete game and allowing three hits while striking out nine.
Sarah Walker, West Henderson: Walker was 2-for-3 with a double and three runs driven in as West Henderson beat North Henderson 10-0.
