Where do South Shore hockey and basketball teams rank in the latest MIAA power ratings?
The high school winter state tournament is on the horizon.
The goal for hockey teams is to reach the TD Garden, while basketball teams are vying for a spot in one of the 10 state finals. The South Shore commonly has plenty of representation in both finals.
Follow where South Shore teams stand in the MIAA tournament power ratings throughout the season right here. Like the MIAA, we'll update these stands every Tuesday and Friday.
There are two ways for teams to qualify for the state tournament:
Be ranked in the top 32 OR
Finish .500 or above
