"Our defense was great with pressuring the ball and generating turnovers," John Glenn head coach Bob Williams said. "It is very tough to achieve a shutout and we've had several games over the years where we allowed only one goal, so I am very proud and excited for our team to be able to achieve this tonight."

"Tonight was a full team effort, we don't have a large roster and had a couple injuries in the game," Williams added. "We played the entire roster so everyone had a hand in contributing to our first shutout in school history. With the injuries we had to move players into positions they normally don't play, and they adapted very well.  Linsly took 23 shots against us and had plenty of offensive possessions"

Leading the defense was Jack Crutchfield with four ground balls, four takeaways, Nic Xanders added ground balls, two takeaways and Ryder Pennington finished with two ground balls, and two takeaways.

John Glenn (4-3) put up all the offense they would need with a solid first half effort. Cannon Fox tallied a pair of goals, Max Morrow, Clay Hanna and Joey Gormley each added single scores for a 5-0 halftime lead.

Fox finished with five goals, Hanna added a pair of goals with three assists and Morrow contributed a pair of scores for the Muskies. Mason Williams finished with 9/13 faceoff wins.
