2012: New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning completed 30 of 40 passes for 296 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions in 21-17 victory over New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI. Manning was named Super Bowl MVP

1961: Miami Dolphins head coach Cam Cameron born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina
1966: Quarterback/punter Tom Tupa, who scored first two-point conversion in NFL history, born in Cleveland, Ohio
1981: New England Patriots defensive tackle Ty Warren born in Bryan, Texas
1983: Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Brodie Croyle born in Rainbow City, Alabama
1990: Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jermaine Kearse born in Lakewood, Washington

1987: Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Michael Johnson born in Selma, Alabama
1988: Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford born in Tampa, Florida
1990: Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne born in Shreveport, Louisiana
1992: Buffalo Bills special teams player Steve Tasker had four tackles, forced a fumble and blocked a field goal in 23-20 AFC victory in Pro Bowl. Tasker was named Pro Bowl MVP. This was the first Pro Bowl to go into overtime
1997: Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly announced his retirement
2010: New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees completed 32 of 39 passes for 288 yards and three touchdowns in 31-17 victory over Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV. Brees was named Super Bowl MVP
2016: Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller had 2.5 sacks in 24-10 victory over Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. Miller was named Super Bowl MVP

1936: First NFL Draft held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
1945: Paul Brown agrees to coach expansion team in Cleveland, Ohio. Team is later named Cleveland Browns
1963: AFL’s Dallas Texans announce move to Kansas City, Missouri. Team would later become Kansas City Chiefs
1963: Oakland Raiders linebacker and Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie born in Knoxville, Tennessee
1972: Indianapolis Colts tight end and Jaguars director of player development and youth football Marcus Pollard born in Lanett, Alabama
1979: Green Bay Packers running back Najeh Davenport born in Raleigh, North Carolina
1996: Cleveland Browns owner Art Modell, NFL, and city of Cleveland reach settlement that allowed Modell to move team to Baltimore. Modell was allowed to take personnel and form expansion team named Baltimore Ravens. Browns’ name, colors, uniform design, and franchise records remained in Cleveland until new Cleveland Browns expansion team formed in 1999
