Top performers this week in high school sports, including Friday night baseball no-hitter

Here are the Upstate high school athletes with the best performances for April 22-28. Check back throughout the week for updates.

Baseball

Spencer Conn, Daniel: Conn hit a grand slam in a 7-6 win against Greer.

Kyle Dill, Boiling Springs: Dill pitched five innings of relief and allowed only one hit and no earned runs in a 7-1 win against Gaffney.

Bolen Fields, Spartanburg: Fields pitched a no-hitter, going all seven innings and allowing only two walks and one earned run while striking out four in a 2-1 win against Woodmont.

Brayden Simpson, Broome: Simpson went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs ina 9-5 win against Union County.

Girls

Softball

Meg Griffin, Belton-Honea Path: The Bears beat White Knoll, 10-0, and Griffin finished two games this week 7-for-7 with a home run and five steals as Belton-Honea Path improved to 23-3.

Liv Hall, Belton-Honea Path: Hall finished the week 4-for-6 with three doubles and a home run with five RBIs. She also pitched five shutout innings.

Addison Sharp, T.L. Hanna: Sharp pitched a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts and also hit a double in a 3-0 win against Dorman.

Baseball

Carson Boleman, Southside Christian: Boleman pitched five innings of a 2-0 win against Spartanburg with 14 strikeouts and also went 2-fo-3 at the plate with a home run and a double.

Blane Jordan, Powdersville: Jordan pitched a complete game shutout in a Belton-Honea Path as the Patriots wrapped up the region championship.

Track and field

Hayes Binnicker, Powdersville: Binnicker won the 110 hurdles (14.64) and 400 hurdles (57.25) at a tri-couny meet in Seneca.

Brandon Cunningham, T.L. Hanna: Cunningham won the 100 meters (10.90) and was second in the 200 meters (22.04) in Seneca.

Girls

Softball

Addison Sharp, T.L. Hanna: Sharp pitched a shutout with 11 strikeouts and also had an RBI single in a 3-0 win against Westside.

Zoe Sullivan, Blue Ridge: Sullivan hit for the cycle (single, double triple, home run) in a 17-9 win against Greenville.

Track and field

Molly Page Morris, Powdersville: Morris won second in the the 100 hurdles (14.65) and was second in the 400 hurdles (1:08.65) as well as the long jump (17-03.48) at a tri-county meet in Seneca.

Caroline Timms, T.L. Hanna: Timms won the 800 meters (2:18.45) and the 1,600 meters (5:01.94) in Seneca.

Acie Vincent, Easley: Vincent won the 3,200 meters (11:53.77) and was second in the 1,600 meters (5:14.47) in Seneca.

Baseball

Jakob Johnson, Crescent: Johnson pitched a complete game shutout with three hits allowed and six strikeouts in a win against Dixie.

Peter Mershon, Eastside: Mershon had a home run and a triple in a 5-3 win against Wade Hampton.

Cade Norton, Blue Ridge: Norton was 3-for-3 with a home run, double and three RBIs in a 9-4 win against Westside.

Jackson Ownbey, Daniel: Ownbey pitched a perfect inning for a save and was also 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and two RBIs in a 4-2 win against Woodmont.

Titus Poore, Landrum: Poore struck out 10 batters and allowed only two hits and no earned runs in five innings of an 11-1 win against Polk County.

Track and field

Ian Johnson, Southside: Johnson won the 100 meters (10.75) and the 200 meters (21.25) at the Greenville County championships.

Kendred Walker, Greenville: Walker won the long jump (22-04.90) and the triple jump (45-09.21) at the Greenville County championships.

Girls

Track and field

Autumn Burrell, Hillcrest: Burrell won the 100 meters (12.65) and the 200 meters (25.05) at the Greenville County championships.

Ayiana Chalmers, Hillcrest: Chalmers won the long jump (17-11.75) and the triple jump (37-00.49) at the Greenville County championships.

Nia Glover, Spartanburg: Glover won the 400 meters and broke a 24-year-old county record with a time of 56.74 at the Spartanburg County championships. She also finished second in the 200 (25.78).

Zenobia Hall, Byrnes: Hall won the long jump (17-01.50) and the triple jump (36-01.00) at the Spartanburg County championships.

Hannah Hoffman, Eastside: Hoffman won the discus (141-09.97) and the shot put (39-04.83) at the Greenville County championships.

Ava Lindsey, Greenville Hurricanes: Lindsey won the 1,600 meters (4:55.38) and the 3,200 meters (10:50.48) at the Greenville County championships.

Rebecca Okebe, Dorman: Okebe won the 100 hurdles (15.05) and the 400 hurdles (1:04.05) at the Spartanburg County championships.

Riley Vaughn, Spartanburg: Vaughn won the discus (125-04.25) and the shot put (37-07.00) at the Spartanburg County championships.

A'Kyra Webster, Spartanburg: Webster won the 100 meters (12.58) and the 200 meters (24.98) at the Spartanburg County championships.

Tanner Hardin, Union County: Hardin was 3-for-3 with a home run and a triple, two runs scored, an RBI and a walk in a 5-1 win against Chester.

Brody Linker, Crescent: Linker hit a home run in the 11th inning as Crescent beat Daniel, 7-5.

Leo Lopez, Riverside: Lopez went 5-for-6, scored three runs and drove in two in a 13-4 win against Travelers Rest.

Lane McGaha, Belton-Honea Path: McGaha pitched a complete game and drove in two runs in a 7-6 win against Powdersville.

Cole Tarango, Southside Christian: Tarango went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored in a 14-1 win against High Point.

Lacrosse

Doug Landrum, Greenville: Landrum led the Red Raiders' defense and also scored three goals with two assists in a 15-10 win against A.C. Flora in the Class AAAA Upper State championship game.

Soccer

Sebestian Restrepo, Hillcrest: Restrepo had a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win against J.L. Mann in a game between the top two teams in the Upstate Super 25 power rankings.

Mitchell Waycott, Mauldin: Waycott had three goals in a 6-0 win against Woodmont.

Girls

Natalie Schultz, Dorman: Schultz had a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win against T.L. Hanna.

Softball

Olivia Baker, Hillcrest: Baker pitched a five-inning no-hitter and struck out four with one walk in a 10-0 win against J.L. Mann.

Emma Evans, Belton-Honea Path: Evans went 3-for-3 with three doubles, three runs scored and three RBIs in a 12-2 win against Powdersville.

AG Lee, Union County: Lee pitched a three-hitter and struck out 13 with two walks in an 8-1 win against Woodruff.

Cassidy Neves, Woodmont: Neves was 3-for-4 with a double, scored three runs and drove in four in a 15-2 win against Mauldin.

Sydney Price, Landrum: Price was 3-for-3 with a home run, drove in all three runs for Landrum, and also pitched a complete game in a 3-2 win against Blacksburg.

Ellanie Yarrell, Byrnes: Yarrell was 4-for-4 with a home run and scored three times in a 13-0 win against Dorman.

Cathen Cole, Boiling Springs: Cole pitched 5.1 innings and allowed only four hits in a 10-0 win against Gaffney.

Colin Goldsmith, Travelers Rest: Goldsmith pitched a two-hit shutout and struck out six with one walk in a 4-0 win against Palmetto.

Caleb Gregory, J.L. Mann: Gregory went 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored at the plate, and pitched two shutout innings of relief to pick up the victory in a 4-3 win against Mauldin.

Luke Jones, J.L. Mann: Jones pitched seven shutout innings with 12 strikeouts and only six hits allowed as the Patriots beat Mauldin, 4-3, in nine innings.

Cole Matthews, Southside Christian: Matthews hit two grand slams for eight RBIs in a 13-0 win against Green Upstate.

Titus Poore, Landrum: Poore went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and a run scored in an 11-8 win against Woodruff.

Garrett Shipman, Hillcrest: Shipman pitched a one-hitter and struck out 13 in a 4-0 win against T.L. Hanna.

Jake Short, Byrnes: Short pitched five shutout innings as the Rebels beat Dorman, 3-0, to cinch the region championship.

Erik Krienkeuser, T.L. Hanna: Krienkeuser shot 68 to win the 16-team Bobcat Invitational.

Bella Bright, Riverside: Bright scored seven goals as Riverside beat Christ Church, 23-9, to reach the Class AAAA state championship game Saturday in Columbia against Bishop England.

Madison Stanley, Wren: Stanley scored all four goals in a 4-2 win against Fountain Inn to clinch a home opener for the playoffs.

Sydney Anderson, Spartanburg: Anderson pitched five shutout innings with seven strikeouts and allowed only one hit in a 10-0 win against Wade Hampton.

Chloe Cross, Hillcrest: Cross went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and scored three runs in a 14-5 win against Fountain Inn.

Allie Simpson, Boiling Springs: Simpson pitched six shutout innings and allowed only three hits in a 9-0 win against Chesnee.
