Tickets on sale for Valdosta-Archer state game

Nov. 8—VALDOSTA — The Valdosta Wildcats have announced ticket sales for their first round GHSA Class 7A state tournament game against Archer High.

Kickoff will be 8 p.m. Friday at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium against the Tigers, based out of Lawrenceville. Valdosta City Schools announced that season ticket holders can purchase their same seats for $10 each, and if additional seats around them are available, they can be purchased as well. Tickets can be purchased at the Wildcat Ticket Office on Williams Street.

The ticket office will be open on Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. until noon, and on Thursday from 2-5 p.m. For more information, contact the ticket office at (229) 671-6049.

Student tickets are being sold at Valdosta High for $6.

Ticket sales are also online at GoFan.co. Visitors side seats are $8 each, with a fee of $1.40 per ticket.

Valdosta City Schools reminds fans it has a clear bag policy.

Should the Wildcats win, they would either host a second round game against No. 4 seed Harrison or travel to No. 1 seed Carrollton.

Elsewhere in the 7A bracket, No. 1 seed Colquitt County hosts Parkview, No. 3 Camden County goes to Newton and No. 4 Richmond Hill makes the drive to Grayson.

In the GIAA, Georgia Christian will be at Augusta Prep in the first round of the Class AA bracket. Winner of that game will play at Gatewood Nov. 17. Valwood, the No. 2 team in Class AAA is off this week and await the winner of Southland Academy and Lakeview Academy. The Valiants will host a quarterfinals game Nov. 17.
