Steelers players celebrated better than any other players in the league

The Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t win a playoff game this season. And linebacker T.J. Watt didn’t win Defensive Player of the Year. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger only got one vote as Comeback Player of the Year. But the Steelers didn’t go away completely empty-handed from the season.

On Saturday night at the NFL Honors ceremony, Pittsburgh was able to win the Bud Light Celly award for the best touchdown celebration. Yep, that’s what happened. The Steelers won the award for a touchdown celebration where the players simulated a birthday party for wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster including having him blow out the “candles” on his football cake.

Based on how the season went for the Steelers went, it is fitting that the only thing they were recognized for at the end was this. This team was 11-0 at one point in the season but will only be remembered for the antics and unfulfilled potential.
