Here's a look at the scores and highlights from Whaling City Youth Baseball action.

Monday, May 22

Tremblay Bus 6, Daves 3: Cam Riccio went 3-3, Sam Sonnenburg drove in two runs, and Syncere Lugo rapped out two hits to help lead the Bus Company to yet another big win. Richie Gaskins had two hits and three stolen bases for Daves. Riccio was a force to be reckoned with on the mound, striking out 16 Daves hitters in picking up the win. Apex Electrical 8,LeBeau’s 1: Nick Frias was the winning pitcher for Apex throwing five innings, striking out 10 and scattering two LeBeau’s hits. Frias also rapped out three hits driving in two runs. Ben Clough and Ethan Dube also had big hits for the Electric Company. Ben Viera had two hits for LeBeau’s. T. S. Sports 2,South Coast Towing 1: Donovan Libby was a one man wrecking crew, striking out 12 South Coast hitters, he also allowed just three hits. Libby scored the game-winning run for his team as well, after hitting a fifth inning triple. Jacob Rebello continued his fine play for T.S. Sports as well. Avery Viera had two hits and knocked in South Coast’s only run of the game.

Tuesday, May 23

N. B. Fire 7,Table 8 Restaurant 7: In a game that both teams refused to back down in, Tae Rose of Table 8 would lace a last inning inside the park home run that would propel his team into a tie with the Fire Department. Niko Tripp scored twice and added an RBI single, Carter Bolarinho chipped in offensively as well for the Table 8 crew. Ben Willis scored three times for N.B. Fire and J.C. Robles ripped two hits while also scoring three times. Rylan Kelley and Memphis Hebert knocked in two runs each for the Fire Department as well. A.C.G. 20, Palace Pizza 3: A.C.G. had their hitting shoes as they rapped out twelve hits total led by Adriel Pena’s three hit game, Tony Correia, Ty Ross, Ryan Maclean all had multiple hits. Summer Almeida joined in on the fun for A.C.G. rapping out her first career hit. Ryan Maclean picked up the win for A.C.G. tossing a complete-game one-hitter, the one hit off the bat of Palace Pizza’s Sylas Jorge. DeBross Oil 8, South Coast Towing 4: Jaiden Hebert was the winning pitcher for DeBross, he came on in relief after Jose Martinez hit a grand slam home run that tied the game at 4-4. Hebert would quiet the South Coast bats the rest of the way, striking out eight and allowing just one hit the rest of the way. DeBross would then score four runs in the fifth inning behind the bats of Hebert, Max Mutnansky and Parker Pacheco to capture the Oilers sixth win of the season.

Wednesday, May 24

Kitchens & Baths 12, Palace Pizza 0: James Reardon took the mound for K&B and when the dust cleared the young man would pick up his first career win, pitching four innings, striking out nine, and not allowing a hit. The K & B bats were hot as well being led by Evan Sousa who had two hits including a home run, Christian Lopes went 3-3, and Jameson Silva also checked in with his first two career hits and RBIs. DeBross Oil 4, A. C. G. 2: Parker Pacheco and Ty Ross both pitched strong games for their respective teams. Ross allowed just four DeBross hits, however the Oilers made the most of their opportunities with Max Mutnansky, Jaiden Hebert, Reed LaPlante and Mikey Charros all coming up with key at bats to help propel DeBross to their seventh win of the young season. Ryan Maclean, Ross, and Ethan Gonsalves all had hits for A.C.G.

Amaral’s Linguica 2, Wonder Bowl 2: Jack Fleurent doubled in the bottom of the third inning, and would eventually score the game-tying run to help his squad avert a possible loss. Mikey Lopez checked in with a triple as well for Amaral’s. Wonder Bowl’s Landon Jadlowe rapped out two hits, teammates Tanner Cabral and Leo Kelly also had hits for Team Wonder Bowl.

Thursday, May 25

Amaral’s Linguica 4, LeBeau’s 0: Mikey Lopez tossed a complete-game shutout, scattering six LeBeau’s hits while stranding eight runners on base and striking out nine. Jack Fleurent of Amaral’s continued his excellent play with two hits, Carter Ferreira, Jayce Cabral, and Maverick Andrews all joined Fleurent in the hit column for Amaral’s to propel them to the win. Ben Viera had a fine night for LeBeau’s banging out three hits. Daves 3, Table 8 Restaurant 2: Richie Gaskins and Sean Pimental combined to strike out 11 for Daves while Carter Bolarinho tossed a complete game for Table 8 Restaurant with just four Daves hits in a well pitched game by both squads. Tae Rose remained hot with his bat for Table 8, banging out two hits as did his teammate Niko Tripp. However the big blow would be struck by Daves Jaedyn Clark who stroked a fifth inning RBI base-hit that would score the eventual game-winning run.  T.S. Sports 13,Kitchens & Baths 1: Donovan Libby, Yaniel Fernandes, and Jacob Rebello all had multiple hits to lead T.S. Sports to a convincing win. Fernandes pitched a complete game, allowing just four hits. Nolin and Evan Sousa, as well as Christian Lopes were the offense for the Kitchen Crew all rapping out hits for manager Nate Silva’s squad.

Friday, May 26

Tremblay Bus 4, N. B. Fire 0: The term “GEM” has been used in baseball for years to describe a great pitching performance, Friday evening that term may actually have been an understatement. Sam Sonnenburg was dealing, facing 18 hitters and striking out 17 of them. Only one hitter put the ball in play, and fittingly it was hit back at Sonnenburg, who calmly threw the hitter out at first base. The proper term for his performance can only be what it was “perfection.” A perfect game. Sonnenburg also rapped out two hits at the plate for his squad. Syncere Lugo had two hits for Tremblay as well including the game winner. Apex Electrical 12, Wonder Bowl 0: Cayson Stupalski was the winning pitcher for Apex, as the Electric Company remains atop the standings picking up their eighth win of the season. Nick Frias scored three times and banged out three hits out of the leadoff spot, Ethan Dube, Ben Clough, Lucas Santos and Rueban Vasquez all had hits for Apex. Also Triton Pacheco stroked his first career hit during the fourth inning. Landen Jadlowe had the lone hit for Team Wonder Bowl.
