Scottie Scheffler score today at 2024 PGA Championship: Scorecard, results from 2nd round
World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler had a tumultuous start Friday morning before the second round of the PGA Championship.
Scheffler was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding traffic signals from an officer directing traffic.
Scheffler was arrested after trying to get around a checkpoint, which was caused by a fatal accident near Valhalla Golf Club.
Despite being arrested and having limited time to warm up, Scheffler carded a 5-under-par 66 during the second round, which moved him to 9 under and into the top five on the PGA Championship leaderboard.
