Report: Bryce James, 15, LeBron's son, leaving Sierra Canyon for Campbell Hall

The son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is making headlines and we are not talking about Bronny James.

Bryce James, the youngest son of James and Savannah James, is reportedly leaving Sierra Canyon High School in Los Angeles to attend Campbell Hall High School in Studio City, California for his junior season, according to ESPN.

The 6-foot-5,165-pound prospect will play for head coach David Grace, who was hired at Campbell Hall in April. Grace has coached on both the high school and collegiate level, most recently as the head coach of Centennial High School in Peoria, Arizona last season. Grace served as an assistant at Oregon State (2008–2013), UCLA (2013–2018), California (2018–2019) and Vanderbilt (2019–2021).

“With David’s experience at high major college programs and his skill development success with middle and high school players, we are confident that David will build upon our culture and lead our program both on and off the court," Campbell Hall director of athletics Kris King said.

Founded in 1944, Campbell Hall is home to 1,100 students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Famous alumni include the Milwaukee Bucks' Jrue Holiday, Atlanta Hawks' Aaron Holiday and Dallas Mavericks' Justin Holiday.

According to ESPN, the James family made a donation toward a "new multimillion-dollar athletic facility on campus" in Studio City, California, about 19 miles from Sierra Canyon.

Bryce James, 15, played at Sierra Canyon last season alongside his brother Bronny, who committed to play college basketball at USC. Justin Pippen, the son of NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen, was also on the 2022-23 roster.

Bryce James will team up with Richard Hamilton II, the son of former NBA star Richard Hamilton, and Baron Bellamy, the son of comedian Bill Bellamy. James, like his brother, has aspirations to play in the NBA.
