Here are some of the records set Friday at the 2023 Drake Relays
Friday at the 2023 Drake Relays delivered plenty of thrilling moments on the Blue Oval.
As a result, several meet and school records were broken in Des Moines across the high school, college and professional levels. Here's a rundown of Friday's top accomplishments.
Myles Lincoln, Union track-and-field
Lincoln set a school record in the triple jump with a distance of 15.37 meters. That mark was good enough to win the event and is the second-best across all NAIA competitors this season.

Ames girls 4x200 relay
The quartet of Ireland Buss, Elaina Deardorff, Ellie Lynch and Cameron Moon set a school record in the event with a time of 1:42.06. That was good enough for a runner-up finish.

Jacy Pulse, South Dakota track-and-field
Pulse set a school record in the 400m hurdles, winning the Drake Relays event in 56.79 seconds.

Miles Thompson, Cedar Rapids Washington track-and-field
Thompson broke the event record in the high school 100m, ripping off a 10.37 time in Friday's prelims. That broke James Harrington's record of 10.61, which had stood since 2012. Thompson later won the event in 10.54.

Ryce Reynolds, Mount Ayr track-and-field
Reynolds' win in the high school 400m set a new school record, as he finished with a staggering time of 48.46.
Ryce Reynolds sets a new school record at the Drake relays today, running a 48.46 for a first place in the 400m.

Madi Wulfekotter, Central Missouri track-and-field
For the second time in two weeks, the Central Missouri standout set a school record in the pole vault. Friday's mark of 14-1.75 won the college event.

Chase Lauman, Pella track-and-field
Another day, another school record. The Pella standout now has the fastest 800-meter time after finishing second Friday in 1:53.83.
