Ravens cut Maclin after disappointing season

Jeremy Maclin is out after one season with the Baltimore Ravens, the team announced Wednesday.

The wide receiver, who joined the Ravens after he was released by the Kansas City Chiefs, was a disappointment in his one season in Baltimore, finishing with 40 catches for 440 yards and three scores.

The Ravens will save $5 million against the salary cap by releasing him.

The Ravens have added free agents John Brown and Ryan Grant to bolster the receiving corps ahead of 2018.

Maclin, a first-round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2009, has 514 career receptions for 6,835 yards and 49 scores.

He'll turn 30 in May.
