Which Oklahoma high school football players are committed to FBS programs?

Class of 2024

Josh Aisosa, Oklahoma

Edmond Santa Fe offensive lineman

Committing earlier than he had originally planned, Aisosa announced Aug. 5 that he had chosen OU. He is the highest-ranked offensive lineman in the state’s 2024 class, according to 247Sports.

Cooper Alexander, Iowa State

Washington tight end

Instead of following in the footsteps of father Stephen Alexander, who played for OU, Cooper decided to be a Cyclone. He helped Washington win a Class 2A state title last season.

Andy Bass, Oklahoma

Heritage Hall quarterback

Bass selected the Sooners from a top three that included Kansas State and Syracuse. Although he is Heritage Hall’s starting quarterback, he’s likely to be a running back or receiver in college. The Sooners extended a preferred walk-on offer, but the opportunity to sign name, image and likeness (NIL) deals factored into his decision to choose OU over a full scholarship from Syracuse.

Colten Christian, Tulsa

Collinsville offensive lineman

Christian chose to stay close to home for college. He announced his Tulsa offer June 1 and committed before the end of the month.

Dax Collins, Tulsa

Poteau defensive back 

With offers from programs that included Colorado and Michigan State, Collins also decided to stay in his home state. In July, he committed to Tulsa as a safety.

Liam Evans, Oklahoma

Moore kicker

Evans committed to the Sooners on Aug. 8. He has risen to No. 7 in the Kohl’s Professional Camps national rankings of kickers in his class.

LaDainian Fields, TCU

Del City defensive back 

Fields had a breakout moment on TCU’s campus, where he ran a 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds at camp. In early August, he committed to the Horned Frogs. Fields is spending his senior season at Del City after playing for Southeast.

Rodney Fields Jr., Oklahoma State

Del City running back

Fields landed his OSU offer in January and shut down his recruitment, knowing he wanted to play for the Cowboys. After rushing for 1,147 yards during the past season at Southeast, he is spending his senior year at Del City.

Josh Ford, Oklahoma State

Stillwater tight end

Although his father played for Baylor, Ford (6-foot-6, 250 pounds) chose to stay in his hometown for college. He committed to Oklahoma State soon after winning a Class 6A-II state title with Stillwater.

MJ Graham, Houston

Westmoore defensive back/quarterback

Graham committed to Houston in early August. Although he has been recruited primarily as a defensive back, he is also a skilled quarterback. Graham arrives at Westmoore after throwing for more than 2,100 yards as a junior at Southeast.

Elijah Green, Tulsa

Classen SAS receiver/defensive back

Green committed to Tulsa on Aug. 8, choosing the Golden Hurricane from a top five that also included Missouri, Sam Houston, Texas Tech and UTSA. He made history as the first Division I football commit from Classen SAS.

Wesley Harvey, TCU

Muskogee offensive lineman

Harvey committed to the Horned Frogs on Aug. 1. Bringing significant height to the offensive line at 6-foot-8 and 265 pounds, Harvey had several other offers that included Houston, Tulane and Tulsa.

Ace Hodges, Oklahoma

Casady defensive lineman

Hodges committed to the Sooners as a preferred walk-on in June. He plays on both sides of the ball but was recruited as a defensive tackle.

De'Von Jordan, Oklahoma

Tulsa Union defensive back

Jordan, ranked third in The Oklahoman's Super 30 list of the state's top senior recruits, chose the Sooners over programs that included Alabama, Miami, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State. He announced his commitment Oct. 20.

Bergin Kysar, Oklahoma

Edmond Santa Fe defensive end

Once a quarterback, Kysar has gained Division I attention as an edge rusher. He committed to the Sooners in early August.

Micho Lavine, North Texas

Millwood linebacker

From running back to defensive end, Lavine has occupied several roles for Millwood. But he committed to the Mean Green as a linebacker. Lavine had 61 tackles and 9.5 sacks as the Falcons reached the state finals last year.

Kayden McGee, UNLV

Muskogee receiver

McGee committed to UNLV on July 4. He played a key role in Muskogee’s turnaround last season, going from a losing record to a state semifinal appearance in a year.

Red Martel, Kansas

Beggs running back

One of the earliest commits in the 2024 class, Martel chose Kansas in November. He rushed for 1,905 yards as a junior.

Dax Noles, Oklahoma

Norman defensive back

With offers from Dartmouth and Navy, Noles chose to instead join the Sooners as a preferred walk-on. Along with playing on offense and defense, Noles makes a tremendous impact on special teams as a kick returner and punt returner.

Danny Okoye, Oklahoma

Tulsa NOAH defensive end

The No. 1 recruit in The Oklahoman’s Super 30 series, Okoye landed 30 offers from FBS programs. He committed to the Sooners on Sept. 20, choosing from a top three that also included Texas and Tennessee. Although Okoye was recruited primarily as a defensive end, he can also play tight end and receiver.

Mykel Patterson-McDonald, Oklahoma

Westmoore safety

At the end of July, Patterson-McDonald chose OU from a group of offers that also included Houston, Missouri and UNLV. The Sooners had extended his first Division I offer in January.

Xavier Robinson, Oklahoma

Carl Albert running back

Robinson (6-foot-2, 232 pounds) committed to the Sooners in late June. He was named The Oklahoman’s 2022 Offensive Player of the Year after setting Carl Albert’s rushing record on the way to a Class 5A state title.

Henry Rothwell, Navy

Oklahoma Christian School safety/receiver

Rothwell committed to Navy in early August. He also had offers from Air Force, Army and Harvard.

Xadavien Sims, Oregon

Durant defensive lineman

Ranked second on The Oklahoman’s Super 30 list, Sims committed to Oregon in May. He chose the Ducks from a top five that also featured OU, Michigan State, TCU and Vanderbilt. Sims is a four-star prospect, according to 247Sports.

Harrison Utley, Kansas

Norman North offensive lineman

Utley committed to the Jayhawks in June. Although OU then tried to swoop in with an offer, he didn’t waver in his loyalty to Kansas.

Malachi Wrice, Washington State

McAlester defensive end

Also a basketball star, the 6-foot-7 Wrice committed to Washington State's football program in October, a little less than a month after receiving his offer. He also had an offer from South Dakota.

Class of 2025

Marcus James, Oklahoma

Carl Albert tight end

James committed to OU in early November. Since arriving from Bishop McGuinness, James has boosted Carl Albert at tight end and linebacker. His other offers included Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, TCU and Arkansas.

Caden Knighten, Vanderbilt

Wynnewood running back

Knighten committed in early August, choosing Vanderbilt over schools that included Colorado, Michigan State and USC. He is also a decorated track star, winning two state championships in the 100-meter dash.

Jaden Nickens, Oklahoma

Millwood receiver

Also a highly touted basketball recruit, Nickens chose to focus on football for college. He committed to the Sooners on Aug. 12. Nickens is a four-star football prospect according to 247Sports, and despite dealing with injury, he had 434 receiving yards last season as Millwood reached the Class 2A state finals.

Nate Roberts, Notre Dame

Washington tight end

With a slew of FBS offers, Roberts (6-foot-4, 230 pounds) committed to the Fighting Irish in June. A four-star recruit according to 247Sports, he played a key role in Washington’s road to the 2022 state title.

Alexander Shieldnight, Oklahoma

Wagoner defensive end

Shieldnight committed to the Sooners just before Wagoner’s first-round playoff win over Broken Bow. He holds Wagoner’s all-time sacks record and helped the Bulldogs capture a Class 4A state title during his sophomore season.

Kevin Sperry, Oklahoma

Carl Albert quarterback 

Sperry is a Carl Albert newcomer, moving from Prosper, Texas, to the state where he plans to play college football. He committed to the Sooners in March.

Elijah Thomas, Oklahoma

Checotah receiver/safety

OU’s coaching staff made an impression on Thomas at camp, and he committed in late July. 247Sports lists him as a four-star prospect.

Trynae Washington, Oklahoma

Carl Albert defensive back 

Washington made a surprise commitment during teammate Marcus James’ ceremony. James called Washington up and announced both had chosen OU. Washington, who is also a star receiver, landed offers from programs that include Missouri, Iowa State and Kansas.
