The Philadelphia 76ers dominated the visiting Toronto Raptors in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series behind a 38-point night from promising second-year guard Tyrese Maxey.

Philadelphia got a balanced effort from its starting 5, with 4 of the starters scoring at least 19 points.

Maxey’s 38 on 21 shots and 5 free throws led all scorers. He also dished a pair of assists and did not commit a turnover despite such high usage. The Sixers were +20 with him on the court.

James Harden scored 22 points on 17 shots and 7 free throws. He also registered 14 dimes and 5 rebounds in 40 minutes en route to a +14 night.

Joel Embiid scored 19 points on 15 shots and 11 free throws. He also pulled in 15 rebounds and did not commit a turnover. The Sixers were +16 with him on the court.
