Nashville SC signs Canadian striker Woobens Pacius

Nashville SC has signed forward Woobens Pacius to a two-year contract, with options for 2026 and 2027.

Pacius, 22, spent the past three seasons with Forge FC of the Canadian Premier League.

“Woobens is a center forward who has already demonstrated the ability to finish scoring chances," Nashville general manager Mike Jacobs said in the club's news release. "He fits the profile we look for in an attacking player, and we are excited to see him take his next steps in his career here in Nashville."

Born in Quebec, the 6-foot-1, 174-pound Pacius came up through the academy of the Montreal Impact, now known as CF Montreal. He began his professional career in 2021 with Forge FC and ultimately appeared in 93 games for the Hamilton, Ontario-based club across all competitions, scoring 32 goals.

Pacius led Forge with 11 goals in 32 games last season, helping the club win its second straight CPL championship and qualify for the CONCACAF Champions Cup. His 10 goals in CPL play tied him for third-most in the league.

After the 2023 season, Pacius' contract with Forge expired and he became a free agent. He had previously been linked to multiple MLS teams.

Pacius joins a group of strikers that includes designated player Sam Surridge, 14-year MLS veteran Teal Bunbury, undrafted rookie Forster Ajago and Adem Sipic, Nashville's first-ever homegrown signee.
