Myles Murphy already drawing interest from one NFL team at East-West Shrine Bowl
North Carolina defensive lineman Myles Murphy is one of a handful of Tar Heels hoping to hear their name called early on during the 2024 NFL draft in April.
Murphy committed to North Carolina as a four-star recruit in 2019 and played a few years on the Tar Heels defensive line. Now, as he gets set for the draft in April, he has a shot to impress some NFL scouts early on.
The defensive lineman is down in Texas for the East-West Shrine game this week and he’s already drawing the interest of NFL teams. Murphy has reportedly met with the Green Bay Packers already:
Myles Murphy, DL, UNC met with the Green Bay Packers in Frisco at the Shrine Bowl.
Over the past three seasons, Murphy recorded 15 tackles for loss, six sacks, and 35 pressures.

Murphy is an intriguing defensive line prospect but saw his draft stock tumble a little bit due to a lack of production. That’s not his fault, as his role was a little different under Gene Chizik the past couple of seasons.
It looks like Murphy was a standout at practice already:

Hopefully, this event will help Murphy get his stock up a little more and he can use this to continue to build momentum toward the draft.
