Monday's local roundup, results: Hudson, Leominster Legion gain winners' bracket final

Hudson 4, Milford 3: Nik Pavia struck out eight in 6-2/3 innings before being lifted due to pitch-count restrictions, and Braden Deckers notched the final out for the save as visiting Post 100 held off Post 59 in a winners' bracket semifinal at Fino Field.
The tournament, which entered double elimination with eight teams, was trimmed to four Monday night through tripleheaders at Fino and McLaughlin Park in Leominster. One of the teams eliminated was Zone 4 regular-season champion and top-seeded Milford.
Peter Ward and Andrew Malkowski delivered RBI doubles for Hudson, which faces second-seeded Leominster at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the winners' bracket final at McLaughlin. Bobby Long had two hits and drove in a run.
Evan Cornelius, who fanned 12 in 6-1/3 innings, had two hits and two RBIs for Milford, which scored two runs in the seventh before falling short.
Leominster 5, Shrewsbury 0: Henry Bruun and Ryan Garner combined to scatter seven hits for host Post 151 while blanking Post 397 at McLaughlin Park, lifting Leominster to the winners' bracket final.
Jake Richard (2 hits), Ashton Malzahn, Tyler Godin, Tony Salvatelli and Alex Oquendo drove in the runs.
Andrew Peris had two hits for Shrewsbury.
Northborough 8, Milford 3: Winning pitcher Jackson Gamache had two hits and an RBI, and so did Joe Russell as Post 234 upended Milford, Northborough's second win of the night at Fino.
Northborough takes on Shrewsbury at 7 p.m. Tuesday in an elimination game at Holy Cross.
Northborough 8, North County 4: Also at Fino Field, Quinn Salvi hurled four solid innings, allowing just two earned runs and four hits as Post 234 eliminated Post 129.
Zach Meehl doubled, tripled and drove in three runs for Northborough, and Nick Bellafoto had two hits and two RBIs. Gamache had two hits, an RBI and came on to pick up the save.
Shrewsbury 8, Northbridge 3: Post 397 rebounded in the tourney tripleheader's nightcap at McLaughlin to eliminate Northbridge, as Brady Shea struck out seven in five innings, and James Benestad went 2 for 3 with a home run, stolen base and three RBIs.
