Mississippi Mr. Baseball winners for 2024 announced by MHSAA. See full list of winners

The Mississippi High School Activities Association announced the 2024 winners for the annual MHSAA C Spire Mississippi Mr. baseball awards.

The Miss Softball awards were announced Monday.

One winner from each class (1A-7A) was selected.

Here are the winners.

Class 7A

Lake Reed

Senior | Tupelo

Reed, a Northwest Mississippi Community College signee, is batting .404 with a .485 on-base percentage, 36 hits and 17 RBIs. He also has a 2.47 ERA with 45⅓ innings pitched with 36 strikeouts helping Tupelo to the semifinals in the Class 7A baseball playoffs

Class 6A

Camden Clark

Senior | West Jones

Clark has posted a 0.61 ERA with 138 strikeouts in 68⅔ innings. He also has a batting average of .352 with 31 hits, 16 RBIs, and 16 extra-base hits, helping West Jones to a 23-8 record. Clark is a Pearl River Community College signee.

Class 5A

Cole Richardson

Senior | South Jones

Richardson has a 0.77 ERA with 90 strikeouts in 54 innings. He also has a .270 batting average with 27 RBIs and five home runs. Richardson has helped South Jones to the semifinals of the Class 5A baseball playoffs for the first time in 30 years. Richardson is a Southern Miss signee.

Class 4A

Ty Long

Senior | Ripley

Long, a Southern Miss signee, has a .506 batting average and a .661 on-base percentage, with 41 hits, 20 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He also has an 11-0 record with 140 strikeouts and a 0.30 ERA in 84 innings. Long has helped Ripley reach the Class 4A baseball playoffs semifinals for the first time since 2017.

Class 3A

Mason McMillin

Senior | Mooreville

McMillin is hitting .441 with 45 hits and 20 extra-base hits including nine home runs, 37 RBIs and 47 runs scored. He also has a 6-0 record with 44 strikeouts and a 1.67 ERA in 36⅔ innings. McMillin is a Northwest Mississippi Community College signee.

Class 2A

Landon Harmon

Junior | East Union

Harmon, a Mississippi State commit, is hitting .416 with six home runs and 31 RBIs. He has a 1.90 ERA with 88 strikeouts in 46⅓ innings. Harmon wins East Union's second MHSAA Mr. Baseball award with Everett Johnson winning in 2023.

Class 1A

Gehrig Shinall

Senior | Pine Grove

Shinall has a .489 batting average and a .567 on-base percentage, with 43 hits and 31 RBIs. He also has a 2.30 ERA in 27⅓ innings and 29 strikeouts, helping Pine Grove to the semifinals of the Class 1A baseball playoffs. Shinall is a Blue Mountain Christian signee.
