Michigan State holds off Ohio State rally in 84-78 win: Game thread recap

Game notes: The Spartans' offense is scintillating and now gets a chance to tee off against the tumbling Buckeyes in the regular season finale and senior day at Breslin. MSU whacked OSU in Columbus on Feb. 12, 62-41, led by Joey Hauser's 22 points. Tyson Walker leads MSU in scoring at 14.8 points per game, but Jaden Akins is heating up with 38 points over the past two games on 9-for-13 shooting from 3-point range. OSU has won two straight, defeating Illinois and Maryland at home, to end a nine-game skid. Freshman forward Brice Sensabaugh averages a team-best 16.4 points, but the Buckeyes are without junior forward Zed Key (10.8 points and 7.5 rebounds) after undergoing shoulder surgery this week.
