The Miami Dolphins had their season on the line Saturday night in frigid Kansas City.

The reigning Super Bowl champion Chiefs defeated the Dolphins 26-7 in a game shown exclusively on the Peacock streaming service.

Significant winter weather affected the game in Kansas City with temperature projections in the single digits and wind chill sliding into negative temperatures. It was minus-4 degrees at kickoff.

Miami limped into the playoffs after a winter collapse in the AFC East, allowing a three-game lead to evaporate to the Buffalo Bills in a five-game span.

The Dolphins' injuries are extensive: Star pass rusher Bradley Chubb and linebacker Jerome Baker are out for the season with a knee injury while several other key contributors like cornerback Xavien Howard and linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel are expected to miss the Chiefs game.
