Miami Dolphins NFL Draft poll results are in: DolFans want to beef up trenches

Everyone has a plan until they get hit in the mouth.

And Dolphins fans don't want their franchise player, Tua Tagovailoa, hit in the mouth anymore.

Yes, Miami has Terron Armstead, Kendall Lamm, Isaiah Wynn, Aaron Brewer, Robert Jones, Liam Eichenberg, Jack Driscoll, Austin Jackson and more in Butch Barry's offensive line room.

But they want more!

Bring on the beef!

Build that Tua wall!

Most Miami fans take a cue from their general manager, Chris Grier, who proclaims, of course, that the team hopes to take the best available player at Pick 21.

But when push comes to shove, what DolFans really want is the best available offensive lineman!

Oh, Miami could draft a defensive tackle to replace Christian Wilkins (Byron Murphy II?) or a receiver to one day replace Tyreek Hill (Brian Thomas Jr.? Xavier Worthy?).

Yes, Miami could draft an edge rusher to hold things over until Jaelan Phillips and Bradley Chubb are full speed (Laiatu Latu? Jared Verse?).

But the ideal aqua and orange man is between 6-foot-2 and 6-foot-8 and 300 and 360 pounds.

The ideal pick for No. 21 would play guard in 2024, ideally with the intention to later shift to tackle.

This is a really good draft for offensive linemen.

When looking at this excellent group, one has to figure that at least one or two of these players will slip through the cracks to 21:

Here are the results of that very unofficial poll on X, the former Twitter:

POLL QUESTION:

At the moment, what would be your first choice for the Dolphins' first-round pick?

POLL RESULT:

Guard: 48 percent

Tackle: 28 percent

DE/Edge: 15 percent

Wide receiver: 9 percent

That means 76 percent of Miami fans want the best available - offensive linemen.

Your friends at the Palm Beach Post don't disagree.
