March Madness bracket 2024: Updated list of NCAA Tournament teams from Selection Sunday

It's time for March Madness.

The 2024 NCAA Tournament's full 68-team bracket was revealed on Sunday following the final conference tournament championships. Now, teams know their path to the Final Four.

UConn, Houston, Purdue and North Carolina locked up the four No. 1 seeds, with Tennessee, Arizona and Iowa State falling just short of the fourth line.

Oklahoma was listed as the first team out of the field by the NCAA, with Seton Hall, Indiana State and Pitt joining suit. The First Four matchups will be between Boise State-Colorado, Virginia-Colorado State, Wagner-Howard and Grambling State-Montana State.

6:57 p.m.: Here are the CBS experts' Final Four picks:

6:44 p.m.: Dr. Charles McClelland, the NCAA's selection committee chair, says the consensus among the committee was that it was the toughest season of selections some of the current members have ever had. Mentioned five teams stole bids, compared to three in the last two seasons combined.

6:38 p.m.: First four teams out are Oklahoma, Seton Hall, Indiana State and Pittsburgh, according to the NCAA.

6:36 p.m.: The entire bracket has been revealed. Indiana State and Oklahoma are among the notable snubs.

6:33 p.m.: West matchups: No. 1 North Carolina-No. 16 Howard/Wagner, No. 8 Mississippi State-No. 9 Michigan State, No. 5 Saint Mary's-No. 12 Grand Canyon, No. 4 Alabama-No. 13 Charleston, No. 6 Clemson-No. 11 New Mexico, No. 3 Baylor-No. 14 Colgate, No. 7 Dayton-No. 10 Nevada, No. 2 Arizona-No. 15 Long Beach State.

6:32 p.m.: North Carolina secures the final No. 1 seed spot, as the top team of the West Region.

6:23 p.m.: Other Midwest matchups are: No. 8 Utah State-No. 9 TCU, No. 5 Gonzaga-No. 12 McNeese State, No. 4 Kansas-No. 13 Samford, No. 6 South Carolina-No. 11 Oregon, No. 3 Creighton-No. 14 Akron, No. 7 Texas-No. 10. Virginia/Colorado State, No. 2 Tennessee-No. 15 Saint Peter's.

6:22 p.m.: Purdue gets the No. 3 overall ranking and No. 1 seed of the Midwest Region. It'll face the winner of Montana State and Grambling State in the First Four.

6:16 p.m.: It's a bit surprising Boise State is selected for a First Four game, as the Broncos are No. 27 in the NCAA's NET rankings.

6:14 p.m.: Second half of South Region matchups: No. 6 Texas Tech-No. 11 NC State, No. 3 Kentucky-No. 14 Oakland, No. 7 Florida-No. 10 Boise State/Colorado, No. 2 Marquette-No. 15 Western Kentucky.

6:12 p.m.: First half of South Region matchups: No. 8 Nebraska-No. 9 Texas A&M, No. 5 Wisconsin-No. 12 James Madison, No. 4 Duke-No. 13 Vermont.

6:11 p.m.: Houston grabs the second overall ranking as the No. 1 seed in the South Region. The Cougars will take on 16-seeded Longwood.

6:10 p.m.: One interesting matchups in the East Region: Iowa State coach T.J. Otzelberger will face his former school, South Dakota State.

6:06 p.m.: Second half of East Region: No. 6 BYU-No. 11 Duquesne, No. 3 Illinois-No. 14 Morehead St., No. 7 Washington State-No. 10 Drake and No. 2 Iowa State-No. 15 South Dakota State.

6:03 p.m.: No. 8 Florida Atlantic will take on No. 9 Northwestern, No. 5 San Diego State will face No. 12 UAB and No. 4 Auburn will take on No. 13 Yale in the top half of the East Region. Those are some fun matchups.

6:02 p.m.: The committee selected UConn as the No. 1 overall seed. The Huskies will play Stetson in the first round of the East Region.

5:45 p.m.: Illinois defeats Wisconsin 93-87, securing the Big Ten's automatic qualifier spot. All conference champions have now been crowned, meaning we now await the at-large selections.

5:23 p.m.: Wisconsin and Illinois remain locked in a close contest, with the Fighting Illini leading 81-79 with under five minutes left in the Big Ten Tournament final. An overtime period would almost certainly delay the bracket release.

5:21 p.m.: UAB has clinched its spot in the tournament after defeating Temple 85-69 for the AAC title. Only one conference championship remains with Selection Sunday set to start at 6 p.m. ET.

5:00 p.m.: UAB leads Temple 70-53 late in the second half and is trending toward being an automatic qualifier out of the American Athletic Conference.

4:03 p.m.: Auburn was already a lock for March Madness, but officially secured a spot in the tournament with its 87-68 win over Florida in the SEC Tournament final on Saturday. The Tigers hoping their conference tournament win can bolster their seeding.

4:01 p.m.: Brown's (13-17) upset run has ended with a 62-61 loss to Yale in the Ivy League Tournament final. The Bulldogs are back in the tournament after their buzzer-beater win.

3:59 p.m.: Duquesne defeated VCU in the Atlantic 10 Championship 57-51 on Saturday, punching its ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1976. The Dukes are going dancing.
