Levelland's Jake Potter, LCHS' Mylee Blacklock voted A-J athletes of the week

The youngster came up clutch in a big way for the Levelland baseball team last week. Freshman Jake Potter hit a walk-off sacrifice fly against Estacado that clinched the final playoff spot out of District 5-4A for the Lobos. He received 63.16% of the vote to be named male athlete of the week.

Another freshman had a solid effort on the softball field for Lubbock Christian. Mylee Blacklock went 2 for 4 at the plate against Crosbyton, hitting a double, a home run, scoring three runs and driving in four for the Eagles. She garnered 61.43% of the vote to be earn female athlete of the week.
