Lakers injury news: Anthony Davis (adductor), KCP (ankle) out v. Bulls

The Los Angeles Lakers will be without two key players on Friday night as they look to get back in the win column following last night’s surprising home loss to the San Antonio Spurs. Lakers star big man Anthony Davis is the biggest name missing in the lineup, as he was ruled out of Friday’s game against his hometown squad just before the game by head coach Frank Vogel. In addition to Davis, Lakers starting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will miss his fourth straight game as he continues to recover from a sprained ankle he suffered last week in San Antonio.

However, Frank Vogel decided to tinker even more with the starting lineup with Davis out, moving Kyle Kuzma back to the bench and starting Markieff Morris, along with Wesley Matthews, to go with regular starters LeBron James, Marc Gasol, and Dennis Schröder.

Following tonight’s game, the Lakers head out on the road again for a three-game trip with two games against the Houston Rockets followed by one in Oklahoma City.
