Lady Lions second in 4-team gymnastics meet
Jan. 31—SHELBYVILLE — The Lady Lion gymnastics squad traveled to Shelbyville for a 4-team meet with the Lady Golden Bears, New Castle and Southwestern.
New Castle prevailed in the team competition with 92.575 points. Rushville was second with 88.25. Shelbyville had 85.125 and Southwestern finished with 31.4.
The Lady Lions were led by senior Bell Westphal with a third place finish on the floor and first place honors on the vault, bars, beam and in the all-around.
Senior Gabby Pavey placed sixth on beam.
Senior Sophia Dora was fifth in the all-around, second on the vault and first on the floor.
