Jrue Holiday eager to face off with his brother Justin in Celtics-Nuggets tilt at TD Garden
Veteran Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday is set to play his older brother Justin Holiday this Friday night at TD Garden as the Celtics face off with the elder Holiday’s ball club, the defending champion Denver Nuggets. The prospect of playing one of his brothers (his brother Aaron also plays for the Houston Rockets) is neither new nor disconcerting. And in fact, regarding the latter, quite the opposite.
“I think being able to play against my brothers and being able to see that they get to do what they love is a blessing because not a lot of guys get to do that,” said Holiday postgame against the San Antonio Spurs via Boston Dot Com’s Faith Pinnow.
“I wish one day maybe I could play with them, but playing against them is cool too… beating them is cool too,” added the UCLA alum with a chuckle.
