Joshua Dobbs expected to start for Arizona in Week 1

Former Vol Joshua Dobbs is expected to start at quarterback for Arizona versus the Commanders Sunday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The Cardinals traded for Dobbs from Cleveland during training camp.

He started the final two games for Tennessee last season after Ryan Tannehill suffered a season-ending injury.

In Week 18, Dobbs completed 20-of-29 passing attempts for 179 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Titans’ 20-16 loss versus Jacksonville.

He played for the Vols from 2013-16 under head coach Butch Jones. Dobbs was the MVP of the 2016 Music City Bowl.

He was selected by Pittsburgh in the fourth-round of the 2017 NFL draft. Dobbs played for the Steelers, Jacksonville, Cleveland and Tennessee before joining Arizona.
