Jackson's Megan Campbell, Anthony Butch headline 2023-24 All-Stark County girls basketball
Jackson's Megan Campbell and Anthony Butch are adding to their award haul.
Campbell is the 2023-24 Repository Stark County Girls Basketball Player of the Year, while Butch is the county coach of the year.
Campbell, a senior point guard, already has earned player of the year awards from the Federal League and District 4 coaches association. Butch was the Federal League coach of the Year and co-coach of the year for the Northeast Inland District and the District 4 coaches association.
After graduating Division I college recruits Leena Patibandla (Wisconsin) and Lauren Pallotta (Dayton), Jackson went 23-4 this season. Starting two freshmen and a sophomore, the Polar Bears shared the league title with Lake, won a district championship and advanced to a regional final.

Averaged 11.7 points in helping 23-3 Blue Streaks to their first district championship in program history and a share of first Federal League title since 2012.
Two-time all-county first teamer shot a county-best 43.2 percent from 3-point range.
Shot 45.6 percent from the floor and added 2.8 assists per game.
Courtney Barwick, Louisville, 5-9, junior
Averaged 14.7 points for Leopards team that went 16-9.
Added 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
Shot 43.5 percent from floor, 35.2 percent from 3-point line and 75.0 percent from foul line.
Megan Campbell, Jackson, 5-10, senior
Player of the year for Repository Stark County, Federal League and Division I District 4 coaches association. Second team All-Ohio.
Led league and district champion Jackson in scoring (13.0), rebounding (5.4), assists per game (4.5) and steals per game (3.5).
Tiffin University recruit broke single-season Jackson records for assists and steals as Polar Bears went 23-4.
Destiny Dulkoski, Tuslaw, 6-1, junior
Averaged 19.3 points for Mustangs team that went 19-6 and won share of PAC-7 championship.
Scored school-record 47 points in single game.
Shot 58.0 percent from the floor and added 9.5 rebounds per game.
Chelsea Evanich, Marlington, 5-10, senior
District 4 coaches association Division II Player of the Year and Seton Hill recruit averaged 22.3 points and 12.5 rebounds. Four-time all-county first team.
Shot 86.6 percent from the foul line, making 187 free throws during the season.
Marlington's career leader in points (1,551), rebounds (1,018) and free throws made (421). The points rank 13th in county history.
Brooke Haren, Louisville, 5-9, senior
Averaged 17.9 points and shot 80.8 percent from the foul line for 16-win Leopards.
Ursuline College recruit is a three-time all-county first teamer.
Louisville's all-time leading scorer with 1,203 career points.
Summer Hastings-Peterson, Canton South, 5-4, junior
Averaged 13.0 points to lead the Wildcats to a 15-win season and a third-place finish in the PAC-7.
Added 4.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.9 steals per game.
Shot 32.8 percent from 3-point range.
Serenitee Johnson, Lake, 5-10, senior
Second team All-Ohioan led Lake 23-3 record, first Federal League championship in 12 years and first district championship in program history. Two-time all-county first team.
Averaged team highs of 15.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.5 steals.
Scored 1,070 career points and holds Lake career records for assists and steals.
Ashley Lahmers, Jackson, 5-9, senior
Averaged 10.8 points in helping 23-4 Polar Bears to regional final appearance and share of Federal League championship.
Added 5.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
Shot 50.9 percent from floor, 40.2 percent from 3-point line and 77.5 percent from foul line.
Maddie Lepley, Jackson, 5-10, sophomore
Averaged 12.0 points in helping Polar Bears to 23 wins, a district title and a share of Federal League championship.
Added 4.0 rebounds per game.

Malone University softball recruit averaged 12.3 points for Panthers.
Added 4.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.

Mya Taylor, Canton McKinley, 5-6, sophomore
Area's leading scorer at 22.5 points a game, including a season-high 37.
Already has scored 828 points in two-year varsity career.
Shot 43.7 percent from the floor and 35.1 percent from the 3-point line while adding 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game.
