Monday night was arguably the Guardians' biggest game of the season to date. It was Lucas Giolito's debut with the team. And it went off the rails almost immediately.

The Guardians were pounded right from the start by the Twins, eventually losing 20-6, at Progressive Field. Utility man David Fry pitched the final four innings.

The Twins jumped all over Giolito, who gave up three home runs and nine earned runs in three innings. The Twins opened up a 9-1 lead by the third inning, and the Guardians opted to save their bullpen from there.

The loss dropped the Guardians (66-72) six games behind the Twins in the AL Central race.
