Gronkowski leaves after blow to head before halftime

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski left Sunday's AFC Championship game against Jacksonville late in the first half after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit from Jaguars safety Barry Church.

Gronkowski extended for a pass from Brady inside the Jaguars' 40-yard line as he was hit by Church with 1:23 remaining in the second quarter. Church was flagged for unnecessary roughness on the play. Gronkowski walked off the field slowly and then to the locker room, and is likely being evaluated for a head injury.

The five-time Pro Bowler made one catch for 21 yards in the half, which moved him past Indianapolis Colts great Dallas Clark and into first place on the NFL's all-time postseason receiving yardage list for a tight end.

Jacksonville led 14-10 at halftime.
