Gov. Whitmer and Bob Seger among famous faces on Detroit Lions sideline for playoff game

The Detroit Lions' playoff run has turned into a must-see attraction for prominent figures in the state and local stars.

For the second straight week, the Lions rolled out the red carpet at Ford Field for several franchise icons, celebrities, and even Gov. Gretchen Whitmer before Detroit's divisional round game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a 31-23 victory. The stars joined the sold-out and rabid home crowd to witness the Lions try to win multiple postseason games in the same season since 1957, and advance to the NFC championship to face the San Francisco 49ers.

Here is an updated list of former players and celebrities in attendance this afternoon in Detroit.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Bob Seger

Gov. Whitmer was on the sidelines during pregame warmups rocking a Honolulu Blue jacket and a black-and-blue "GRIT" hat that looked like it could've come straight from Dan Campbell's closet. She posed for photos with legendary rock artist and Detroit-area native Bob Seger. Seger made the rounds talking to others on the sideline while wearing a black Lions quarter-zip.

Jeff Daniels

Jeff Daniels had a new duo at Ford Field on the pregame sidelines, chopping it up with Seger. Daniels and Seger were decked out in Lions gear sharing a few laughs hours before kickoff.

Flavor Flav

Legendary hype man and part-time Detroit resident Flavor Flav also was in attendance early. As usual, Flav was rocking a monstrous diamond-studded clock around his neck, accompanied by a bejeweled blue Lions jersey.

Barry Sanders

The franchise legend was back after being on the sidelines last week to witness the first playoff victory by the Lions since he was in uniform. He called for a more crazed atmosphere than the crowd produced last week.

Calvin Johnson

Megatron was back in the building after rooting hard for the Lions against his former quarterback a week ago. Johnson made sure to greet the other celebrities on the sideline during the pregame warmups while rocking a gray Lions quarter-zip.

Peyton Manning and Chad Smith

Peyton Manning and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers were on the sidelines and made sure to greet Benjamin Capp, the Lions season ticket holder of 66 years who became famous during the wild-card round.
