Full details of Jadeveon Clowney contract with Titans

Even after all the waiting the Tennessee Titans did for Jadeveon Clowney, it still took a last-minute increase in their offer to finally secure what was a vital offseason acquisition.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Titans had to up their offer to Clowney on Saturday night from a base value of $12 to $13 million in order to seal the deal. Rapoport had previously reported that Clowney’s one-year contract was for “more than” $12 million, so this is a more definitive figure.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network shared the full breakdown of Clowney’s deal, which has a max value of $15 million, with $2 million in incentives.

Pelissero also added that Clowney had turned down a one-year deal worth a max of $16 million from the Seattle Seahawks back in April.
