Fulham vs Liverpool

18:33

Liverpool moved level on points with Premier League leaders Arsenal after a 3-1 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage. The Reds lacked intent with possession for most of the first half but took the lead through a moment of quality from Alexander-Arnold, who whipped his free-kick from the edge of the box into the top-left corner. However, the Cottagers levelled the score just before the break, with Castagne netting a cool finish from close range into the bottom-left corner. Silva would have expected his team to continue their momentum into the second half, but couldn't find a way past Liverpool's defence and had to wait until the 83rd minute for their next shot. The visitors gained control, with Gravenberch scoring his first Premier League goal with a curling finish into the right corner before Jota doubled the lead with a low strike. Klopp's men only created an xG of 1.02 but will be delighted to return to winning ways in the top flight. They travel to Everton for their next match, with Fulham hosting a confident Palace side. That's all for today, goodbye.

FULL-TIME: FULHAM 1-3 LIVERPOOL

Fulham vs Liverpool

18:26

Salah breaks down the right and attempts to cut the ball across to Nunez, but his low cross is too far away from the forward. Nunez rescues it, but he goes alone from a narrow angle and smashes the side of the net.

Fulham vs Liverpool

18:25

Pereira is over a deep free-kick on the right, and he lofts the ball towards the edge of the box, but Nunez heads it away. The Brazilian has struggled to find a Fulham shirt today, with Van Dijk doing well to clear the danger on a few occasions.

Fulham vs Liverpool

18:23

There will be six minutes of additional time.

Fulham vs Liverpool

18:21

SAVE AND WIDE! An opportunity for Fulham to get one back! Muniz offloads the ball to Wilson on the edge of the box, with the winger driving a low effort towards the bottom-left corner. Alisson gets down to push it away before Muniz fires wide from a tight angle.

Fulham vs Liverpool

18:20

Traore has already had plenty of touches on the left and has caused some problems for Liverpool without creating anything noteworthy. Gomez and Elliott are working together to stop him.

Fulham vs Liverpool

Substitution Cody Mathès Gakpo Dominik Szoboszlai

Fulham vs Liverpool

18:16

Iwobi made the mistake that led to Liverpool's second goal. He is coming off for Traore, who will add more pace to Fulham's attack.

Fulham vs Liverpool

18:15

Pereira's cross from the right isn’t cleared away well by Liverpool's defence, with Muniz chesting the ball into the air before looking for the bottom-right corner with an overhead kick. However, his effort is blocked by Adarabioyo before Lukic fires over.

Fulham vs Liverpool

18:14

Pereira and Wilson combine well on the right before the latter of the two send a cross into the box. Elliott blocks it with his arm and gives away a free-kick. Chance for Fulham to get one back.

Fulham vs Liverpool

18:11

Castagne goes into the book for dissent.

Fulham vs Liverpool

18:11

Alexander-Arnold scored a phenomenal free-kick but is now coming off for Gomez.

Fulham vs Liverpool

18:10

Only Martin Odegaard (68) and Bruno Fernandes (59) have created more chances from open play in the Premier League this season than Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah (58). He’s created four or more open play chances in five different games this season, with Roberto Firmino the last Reds player to do so more times in one season (10 in 2016-17). He is on the pitch for the final stages and will want to make an impact after a quiet performance against Palace. Fulham are looking vulnerable.

Fulham vs Liverpool

18:09

Nunez looks to make an immediate impact off the bench, speeding down the right before driving his low effort towards the near post against the side of the net.

Fulham vs Liverpool

Fulham vs Liverpool

18:03

Cairney also makes his way on and replaces combative midfielder Palhinha, who is on a yellow card.

Fulham vs Liverpool

18:03

Fulham make their first alternation to try and get back into the contest. Captain De Cordova-Reid is off for Wilson, who would love to make an impact against his former side.

Fulham vs Liverpool

18:01

Fulham manager Marco Silva was probably hoping that his side would be able to gain momentum from their goal just before half-time and take it into the second half. However, Cottagers have shown no attacking intent since the restart. They haven’t had a shot and look flat. Broja is on the bench and will be hoping he gets a chance to prove himself.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:59

SAVE! Leno makes another good stop! Robertson does well to keep the ball on the pitch down the left and lifts a pass back to Gakpo, who drives into the box from a wide position. He then looks to whip a low shot past Leno, but the goalkeeper makes a strong save.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:59

CHANCE! Jota spins past Adarabioyo, who commits himself and gives the Portugal international space to run into. He then looks to slot a pass through to Diaz, but Bassey slides across and pokes the ball just wide of the left post.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:57

Bassey gifts possession to Liverpool and Gakpo races forward with the ball. He has Jota to his left but goes alone with a low strike towards the bottom-left corner, with Leno getting down to save it.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:55

Elliott already has an assist to his name but is continuously looking to make more of an impact for Liverpool in their midfield. He is not giving any Fulham player a moment's rest in possession and is looking to win the ball back at every opportunity.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:53

SAVE! Gravenberch looks to craft a chance on the left side of the box and pokes a ball through to Robertson, who taps a first-time pass into Jota. He gets a shot away from a tight angle, but his effort towards the near post is saved by Leno.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:52

Though they’re unbeaten in their last five Premier League away games against Fulham (winning three and drawing two), Liverpool haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last eight league games at Craven Cottage since a 1-0 win in April 2009. The Reds have retained possession for the last few minutes and are trying to drag Fulham onto them, with the hosts now needing to commit more men forward with a press to regain the ball.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:50

Fulham must come from behind for a second time, but Liverpool are turning the screws and are pushing for a second goal that could put the contest beyond the Cottagers. Muniz has been one of their best players this season but has only had 15 touches and has been left isolated at times up front.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:48

Liverpool have scored 11 goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half, only Tottenham (17) have scored more in the Premier League this season. The away fans have been left frustrated with most of their side's play so far but will be delighted to see Gravenberch score his first Premier League goal.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:44

Goal Ryan Jiro Gravenberch

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:44

WIDE! Robertson races down the left and lifts a cross into the box that is poorly cleared away by Adarabioyo. Jota collects it and directs the ball across to Elliott on the edge, but he drags his first-time effort wide of the right post. The former Fulham man rushed his effort as he is desperate to score against his former side.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:43

Liverpool have kept possession for the last two minutes, but it's because Fulham have allowed them to have it inside their half. The Reds are playing it from side to side, with Alexander-Arnold dropping between Quansah and Van Dijk. Liverpool have plenty of time to score and won’t be worried, but they probably should be after failing to score against Palace in their last league outing.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:40

Robertson battles his way down the left trying to make things happen for Liverpool before whipping a cross towards the near post, but it is too close to Leno, who claims it with ease.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:37

Fulham get the ball rolling again. This will be a massive 45 minutes for Liverpool, who need to win to put pressure on league leaders Arsenal.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:31

Liverpool edged the chances in the first half, creating an xG of 0.55 compared to Fulham's 0.49. However, the Cottagers will be frustrated with the way that they conceded. The hosts gifted two cheap free-kicks to the Reds in quick succession, with Elliott hitting the wall before Alexander Arnold found the top-left corner with pure perfection. Klopp's men were finding it difficult to break the Cottagers' rigid defensive structure and didn’t show enough intent in possession, with Jota also having a quiet half up front. As for Fulham, they showed signs of promise, but it has been a different half for key midfielder Palhinha. He collected a yellow card for the free-kick that led to Liverpool's opener and only won two of his six duels.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:28

Castagne scored in first-half stoppage time to cancel out Alexander Arnold's opener to send Fulham and Liverpool into half-time with the score 1-1 at Craven Cottage. Diaz headed wide inside the opening three minutes for the Reds, and Jota missed the target from close range before Alexandre Arnold gave the visitors a lead with a perfect free-kick. The right-back whipped his effort over the wall and into the top-right corner, giving Leno no chance of keeping it out. Gakpo then forced the goalkeeper into a fine stop before the Cottagers ended the half brightly. Muniz's swivelling effort from a tight angle was claimed by Alisson. However, the Brazilian couldn’t stop Castagne from scoring his first goal of the season, with the Belgian slotting his strike into the bottom-left corner.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:23

HALF-TIME: FULHAM 1-1 LIVERPOOL

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:21

What a time for Castagne to score his first Premier League goal of the season. It was a calm finish into the bottom-left corner that gets Fulham back into the contest after they had created very little in the first half.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:17

Goal Timothy Castagne

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:17

Pereira has options in the middle of the box but goes for goal from a slightly wide position. His effort is central, with Alisson getting a slight touch on the ball to push it over. However, a goal-kick is given.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:16

Gravenberch fouls Palhinha on the edge of the box and gives Pereira a chance to shoot or cross from the right. Four minutes of additional time to be played.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:14

Gakpo collects the ball around halfway and rushes forward with possession. He has options on either side before slotting a pass over to Alexander-Arnold, but his low cross is blocked by Robinson.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:13

GOOD SAVE! Palhinha steals possession off Endo and rolls the ball over to Iwobi, who rolls the ball down the wing to Castagne. He then drives a low cross into Muniz, but his first touch takes him away from the goal before his swivelling effort from a tight angle is saved by Alisson.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:10

Yellow Card Abdul-Nasir Oluwatosin Oluwadoyinsolami Adarabioyo

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:10

OVER! Robinson races down the left with intent and whips a cross towards Muniz, who takes a good touch off his chest inside the box before lashing his effort over the bar under pressure from Van Dijk.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:09

Quansah is back on his feet and will be able to continue. The break gave Fulham's players a chance to go to the dugout and talk tactics after conceding.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:08

There are a few questions from a Fulham perspective after Liverpool's goal. It was a poor foul to give away from Palhinha, and the Cottagers didn’t put one of their tallest players, Adarabioyo, in the wall. As soon as Alexander-Arnold struck his effort, it looked like it was going in!

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:06

Quansah is down and needs medical assistance.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:06

SAVE! Leno makes a good stop to deny Liverpool a second goal! Gakpo has time and space on the left and is allowed to get a shot away, but his effort towards the top-left corner is pushed over by Leno.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:02

Goal Trent John Alexander-Arnold

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:01

Palhinha got away without a yellow card a few moments ago but goes into the book this time for a wild slide tackle on Jota just to the left outside the box. It will be a surprise if Alexander-Arnold doesn’t take this one.

Fulham vs Liverpool

17:00

Alexander-Arnold and Elliott are over a free-kick just to the right outside the box. Elliott takes it with his left foot, but his low effort is blocked by the wall. The home fans enjoyed that one.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:59

Liverpool gain a clear shooting chance after Palhinha trips Gakpo with a slide tackle from behind right on the edge of the box. He gets away without a yellow card but gifts the Reds a needless free-kick, as Gakpo wasn’t going anywhere!

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:57

SAVE! Chance for Fulham! De Cordova-Reid gets down the left and curls a low cross towards the edge of the box, with Iwobi tapping it back to Palhinha. The Portugal international gets a first-time shot away from distance but drives his effort straight at Alisson.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:54

CHANCE! Alexander-Arnold threads the ball down the right to Diaz, who surges past his marker and cuts a pass into the middle of the box. Jota is there, but he directs his first-time effort from close range wide of the right post.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:53

Liverpool are trying to build their way into the contest, but they are not playing the ball around with enough pace to break Fulham's defensive structure. Elliott then gets an opportunity to get a shot away just inside the box on the left, but his effort is blocked by the back of Gakpo.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:52

Liverpool are controlling the possession, but most of their passes are coming in the middle third of the pitch waiting for an opening. There is a clear sign when Elliott gains possession, as the home fans give their former midfielder a hostile reception.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:51

Fulham speed forward on the counter with some fluid short passing between Iwobi, Pereira and Lukic to move into Liverpool's half. However, the Cottagers' attack ends when a loose touch from Lukic gives the Reds a chance to get a tackle in and win a throw-in.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:48

This has been a disciplined defensive display from Fulham so far. Iwobi and De Cordova-Reid are playing on the wings for the hosts but are doing well to come back and support their full-backs when Liverpool come surging forward in numbers.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:48

Since losing 3-0 to Brentford in their first home Premier League game this season, Fulham have conceded just 13 goals in their last 15 games at Craven Cottage (0.9 per game). With six clean sheets at home so far, the Cottagers last had more in a Premier League campaign in 2010-11 (nine). They have defended well and are stopping Liverpool from getting into their defensive third. Diaz keeps looking to drift inside from the right, but Adarabioyo and Bassey are keeping their eyes on him.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:45

Pereira is over a free-kick on the left and swings his dangerous cross towards the near post. Adarabioyo attacks it, but he accidentally clears it away when the attack looked promising.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:44

Pereira has Fulham's first corner on the right, but his outswinging cross is headed away by Endo. Robinson then collects it on the edge, with his ball back into the box going straight out for a goal-kick.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:43

Gravenberch demands a pass in Liverpool's half and uses his body to spin away from an incoming Fulham midfielder. The Netherlands international then looks to lift a pass over to Diaz but puts too much pace on it, allowing Leno to claim it just inside the box.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:41

Adarabioyo plays a short pass into Iwobi, who spots Liverpool players rushing to the ball and gets in quickly to tap it away before bursting forward. He then rushes into the Reds' half and has options to his left but plays it straight off the pitch. Poor from the former Everton man.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:39

CHANCE! Robertson has possession in Liverpool's half and spots Diaz's run, with the winger driving inside off the ball and getting into the box. He gets ahead of Bassey, but the centre-back recovers brilliantly to poke it away.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:38

Alexander-Arnold is playing at right-back for Liverpool, but he keeps moving into the midfield to help the Reds in possession as they build their attacks. As a result, Elliott is drifting out to the touchline to give Quansah an option.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:37

Liverpool have scored in each of their last 19 away Premier League matches, the longest current run of any side. In their entire league history, they’ve had one longer away scoring run, netting in 21 in a row between February 1955 and February 1956 in the second tier. That was a massive chance for Diaz moments ago that would've silenced some of the critics of Klopp after he benched Salah.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:35

WIDE! Huge chance for Diaz! Liverpool take a short corner on the right, with Endo and Elliott combing before Alexander-Arnold curls a wonderful cross into the box. Diaz gets ahead of his marker and looks for the bottom-left corner with his header but shoots wide.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:34

Diaz usually appears on the left for Liverpool, but he is on the right with Gakpo on the left. Alexander-Arnold is back in the team for the Reds and has already looked for the Columbian a couple of times with long passes down the wing.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:32

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool get off to a fast start to set the tempo for the contest and keep their fight for the Premier League title alive. The Reds conceded an early goal against Palace in their last top-flight outing and couldn’t recover. With Salah and Nunez on the bench, it will be up to the likes of Gakpo and Jota to prove a point to Klopp.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:31

Liverpool get this Premier League clash under way. They will want to return to winning ways in the top flight after a draw against Manchester United and a loss to Palace.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:31

Fulham have won just one of their last 11 Premier League meetings with Liverpool (drawing two and losing eight), winning 1-0 at Anfield in March 2021. Both teams are on the pitch and are ready to get started.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:18

Liverpool make five alterations to the team that got knocked out of the Europa League in midweek despite beating Atalanta 1-0 in the second leg of their quarter-final tie. Quansah comes in for Konate at centre-back, with Klopp deciding to change all three players in the midfield. Mac Allister, Szoboszlai and Jones all drop onto the bench, allowing Elliott, Endo and Gravenberch to start. Jota is picked ahead of Salah in the attack and appears up front.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:13

Fulham make one change to the side that beat West Ham 2-0 in their previous Premier League outing. De Cordova-Reid comes in to captain the team on the right side of the attack and replaces Willian, who is out of the squad. The Brazilian has a groin strain.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:03

Liverpool will put all their focus into the Premier League in Jurgen Klopp's final season as manager after getting knocked out of the Europa League by Atalanta in midweek. The Reds lost the first leg of their quarter-final 3-0 at Anfield and needed to stage a superb comeback to remain in the competition, but only won 1-0 to go out 3-1 on aggregate. The defeat followed a disappointing performance against Crystal Palace in the league, with Eberechi Eze scoring the only goal for the Eagles in a 1-0 defeat. The Reds were punished for their unusual wastefulness in front of the goal, creating an xG of 2.81 without scoring to lose a league fixture for the first time in 28 outings at Anfield and slip behind Manchester City in the table. However, with Citizens in FA Cup action yesterday, Liverpool can go back above their title rivals and into second place with a win, one point behind leaders Arsenal.

Fulham vs Liverpool

16:00

Fulham ended their three-game winless run in the Premier League with a 2-0 win over West Ham at London Stadium, with Andreas Pereira scoring a brace. It was a comfortable victory for the Cottagers, who created an xG (expected goals) of 3.29 with their 18 shots, but Marco Silva will be delighted that his side have now confirmed their place in the top flight with five matches left to play. Fulham have collected 42 points from their 33 outings and are in 12th position, 17 points above the relegation zone and just two points behind Brighton, who are in 10th and have a game in hand. The hosts will be searching for another positive result at home to boost their top-half hopes, winning nine, drawing one and losing six of their matches at Craven Cottage.
