Karsyn Freeman's first season with the Adna girls basketball team has been one for the record books, but the junior guard made it official Tuesday, dropping a single-game record 39 points in an 81-46 win over Morton-White Pass.

"She's just a difference-maker," Adna coach Chris Bannish said.

Freeman, who passed 1,500 career points Monday in Longview in the Pirates' win over 2A Mark Morris, went 17 of 28 from the field and 3 for 4 from the free-throw line, drilling two 3-pointers to get to her 39.

She passed the previous Adna single-game high — set by Devanie Kleemeyer in 2016 — by a single tally.

Now, Freeman is just 31 points from her next possible Adna record: the single-season scoring mark, set by Taylor Hoke in 2011.

But afterwards, Bannish mainly wanted to talk about his star's five assists.

"I thought she shared the ball really well," he said.

That was a theme for the Pirates, who also had Danika Hallom finish with 13 points and Bailey Chapman log a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double.

"We haven't had a lot of time together, trying to figure out how to develop and progress, but I'm really happy with the unselfishness they're playing with," Bannish said. "I just love seeing them share the ball together."

Natalia Armstrong led MWP with 13 points, while Kiera Miller had 11 and Ryelin Wiedenmann added 10.

The 46 points the T-Wolves (7-7, 2-6 C2BL) finished with is the most Adna has given up to a C2BL opponent not named Rainier or Napavine, but the Pirates' own offense — which dropped 47 points in the first half — was just too much.

MWP is set to face Onalaska on Thursday. Adna will be off until Friday, when it gets the rematch with Rainier it's been waiting for ever since the Mountaineers dealt the Pirates their only loss yet this season.
