Fourteen NKY high school football teams in latest 2023 media poll ahead of Week 5
The high school football season is approaching the halfway season as many teams prepare for Week 5. The Kentucky High School Athletic Association has even released RPI rankings for each of the six classes in football.
As it is every Wednesday morning for the remainder of the season, it's time for the newest edition of the Kentucky high school football media poll.
Notable changes include Newport moving into the top 10 in Class 1A after beating Boone County 28-15. Highlands and Cooper both move up a spot in 5A after beating Ryle and Campbell County respectively.
Beechwood remains at No. 1 in 2A after a thrilling win over Simon Kenton, which sets up a fantastic matchup with No. 2 ranked Covington Catholic, who claimed sole possession of the second spot in 4A after an equally thrilling win over Dixie Heights.
