Florida gymnast Anya Pilgrim makes history at Kentucky. See her perfect 10 here

Perfect 10s are becoming a thing for the Florida Gators gymnastics team.

Usually the honor goes to Leanne Wong, the sensational junior. Sunday, though, it was a freshman who stole the show.

Anya Pilgrim nabbed her first career 10 for the Gators on the floor.

The perfect score helped lift UF (11-1, 6-1 SEC) to a 198.225-198.110 win over No. 6 Kentucky (7-4, 4-3) at Rupp Arena in Lexington. The win secures sole possession of an SEC title for fifth-ranked Florida, its sixth consecutive.

The Gators set a new season high score and have increased their mark every week of the season, the only program in the country to accomplish that.

"This is the eighth consecutive meet to improve our score," Florida coach Jenny Rowland said in a release. "That is hands down a feat within itself."

UK, meanwhile, set a new program record with its score, but it failed to be enough.

Pilgrim becomes the first freshman to record a 10 this season, and Florida's second ever after Sloane Blakely did so in 2022 vs. Auburn.

Her all-around score of 39.675 is a new high for freshmen across college gymnastics.

Florida returns to the gym this Saturday for a quad meet with Nebraska, Eastern Michigan and Lindenwood in Lincoln, Nebraska.
