England vs Brazil: Paul Gascoigne set to appear at Wembley in Euro 96 tribute to Terry Venables

Paul Gascoigne is set to be among the England Euro 96 players at Wembley on Saturday to take part in a tribute to Terry Venables.

England play Brazil in their first game since Venables died in November aged 80.

The FA will stage a tribute to Venables, who managed England from 1994 until 1996, and all the Euro 96 squad have been invited to the match.

Gascoigne was a key player in the England team at Euro 96, also played under Venables at Tottenham in the 1980s and has said he will be at Wembley to pay his respects.

England went close to glory on home soil at Euro 96, ultimately losing to Germany on penalties in the semi-finals.

England manager Gareth Southgate missed the decisive penalty in the shootout to Germany, who went on to beat the Czech Republic in the final.

England play Brazil and Belgium in two Euro 2024 warm-up games at Wembley this month.
