Columbus Crew to host 2024 MLS All-Star Game

For the first time in 19 years, the Major League Soccer All-Star Game is headed back to Columbus.

Lower.com Field will be the site of the 2024 All-Star Game, a source said. A formal announcement is expected Wednesday.

The Crew issued an advisory earlier Monday on behalf of the MLS for a press conference on Wednesday in which commissioner Don Garber is to make a “special announcement.” The Crew declined comment on whether that was to announce that the team would play host to the All-Star Game.

The All-Star Game was held at the original Crew Stadium in 2000 and 2005. Lower.com Field opened two years ago. Its construction followed the successful “Save The Crew” campaign that kept the team from moving to Austin, Texas, and resulted in the sale of the franchise to Cleveland Browns owner Dee and Jimmy Haslam.
