Columbus Clippers postpone 2024 home opener at Huntington Park due to inclement weather

The Clippers will have to wait another day for their home opener.

The Clippers' home opener against the Omaha Storm Chasers has been postponed due to inclement weather, the team confirmed. The game was initially scheduled for 6:15 p.m. Tuesday night at Huntington Park.

The home opener will be made up Thursday with a doubleheader consisting of two 7-inning games with first pitch at 4:15 p.m. The second game will begin 30 minutes after the first game concludes.

The Clippers' home opener will be held Wednesday against Omaha at 6:15 p.m.

The Clippers lost each of its first two games of the 2024 season against St. Paul Saturday and Sunday after Friday's opener was postponed due to wet grounds.
