Cincinnati Bengals NFL draft picks 2024: Full list of team's round-by-round selections

Here is a 2024 NFL draft pick-by-pick breakdown for the Cincinnati Bengals:

Round 1 (No. 18 overall) — Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia: Mims’ 87-inch wingspan and 6-8, 340-pound frame help him block out the sun. He only started eight games for the Bulldogs and might not be in the lineup immediately for Cincy. But this team usually drafts ahead of its needs, and offensive line has been a perennial one since QB Joe Burrow came to town in 2020. And it might not take Mims long to displace veteran Trent Brown this year. Draft tracker

Round 2 (49) — Kris Jenkins, DT, Michigan: One of the leaders of the Wolverines' championship season, the son of the former NFL star of the same name gets a chance to spotlight his own in Cincy. With B.J. Hill and Joseph Ossai, pretty good rotation forming here. Draft tracker

Round 3 (80) — Jermaine Burton, WR, Alabama: Cincinnati brings in a pass catcher with Tee Higgins demanding a trade and Tyler Boyd no longer on the roster. Draft tracker

Round 3 (97, compensatory selection) — McKinnley Jackson, DT, Texas A&M: Cincinnati continues to build its interior depth, and Jackson finished last season on a high note. Draft tracker

Round 4 (115) — Erick All, TE, Iowa: Based on numbers and tape alone, All is a solid tight end in a top-heavy class. He's a better blocker than most prospects and led the Hawkeyes in receiving in 2023. But he suffered season-ending injuries in 2023 and 2022 and only played 10 total games in that span. If he stays healthy, he's a solid No. 2 tight end for the Bengals. Draft tracker

Round 5 (149) — Josh Newton, CB, TCU: Cincinnati continues its recent history of defensive back investment with Newton. A five-year starter for the Horned Frogs, Newton projects well in zone schemes that will cover up for his lack of long speed. His instincts and competitiveness will help a Bengals defense looking for a turnaround in 2024. Draft tracker

Round 6 (194) — Tanner McLachlin, TE, Arizona: The Bengals continue to boost the pass-catching group with McLachlan and Erick All on Day 3. With All, Drew Sample, and Mike Gesicki already on the roster, this is a puzzling choice. But McLachlan offers good ball skills at the catch point and enough athleticism to develop in the NFL. He will need to improve as a blocker to make this a worthwhile selection. Draft tracker

Round 6 (214, compensatory selection) — Cedric Johnson, DE, Ole Miss: Pass rushers with Johnson's athletic profile don't usually fall this far in the draft. At 6-3, 260 pounds he boasts elite athleticism and solid sack production (19 in 46 games played). He had different defensive coordinators in each of his final three seasons at Ole Miss. If Cincinnati offers enough stability, he's a high-reward type of rusher who could work in on sub packages. Draft tracker

Round 7 (224, from Cardinals through Texans) — Daijahn Anthony, S, Ole Miss: Anthony's speed is disappointing given his slender frame. He likely will move to nickel at the NFL level where his aggression, physicality, and ball skills (eight career interceptions) could keep him on the roster in Cincinnati.  Draft tracker

Round 7 (237) — Matt Lee, C, Miami (Fla.): Lee's lack of power and smaller frame means he could struggle against NFL-caliber athletes. His technique is good enough to keep up as a backup on the interior, especially with his elite pass protection. Cincinnati won't need him to start anytime soon but could provide valuable depth.
