Cardinals WR Rondale Moore to miss 3rd straight game

The Arizona Cardinals will be without wide receiver Rondale Moore for the third consecutive game. After not participating in Wednesday’s or Thursday’s practices and not appearing in the open part of Friday’s practice, head coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters after practice that Moore will not play against the Los Angeles Rams this weekend.

Moore suffered a pulled hamstring in the week leading up to their season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Moore’s absence means that, once again, Greg Dortch will play an important role on offense. He leads the team with 11 receptions and 118 yards through the first two weeks of the season.

It also means that the Cardinals will play without two of their top four receivers again, as DeAndre Hopkins is serving a six-game suspension for testing positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance.

The Cardinals did not initially put Moore on injured reserve with the hope that he could miss fewer than the four games that are required when placed there. If he is able to play in next week’s game against the Carolina Panthers, then the decision not to will have paid off.

Kingsbury said earlier in the week that Moore was considered day-to-day with his injury.
