After the Boston Celtics sweep the Brooklyn Nets in the first round, what comes next?

The Boston Celtics have eliminated the Brooklyn Nets from 2022 NBA title contention in four games, sweeping the Nets on their own home court to advance to the second round of this season’s Eastern Conference playoffs.

And with that task out of the way comes a few days of much-needed and well-earned rest — but after that, what comes next? The winner of the series between the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls has the Bucks up 3 – 1 so far, meaning it is likely (but not certain) that Milwaukee will be Boston’s next opponent in 2022 postseason play.

The hosts of the NBC Sports Boston “Celtics Talk” podcast Chris Forsberg and Amina Smith got together to talk about some of the ramifications of such a second-round matchup on their most recent episode.

Check out the clip embedded above to hear what we ought to be thinking about as the Celtics gear up to take on the defending champs in round 2.
